"We were greeted as though we were being welcomed into a community. Everyone we interacted with was really friendly, and the scenery was breathtaking. Our cabin was just perfect for falling asleep to the sounds of nature, with the creek passing just behind. Such a perfect relaxation spot. I highly recommend giving Slackpacker a try too. Fantastic breakfast for such a great price!"

"Our stay at Whispering Pines Butler, Tennessee Lake Watauga was nothing short of exceptional. This hidden gem has become one of my favorite go to places. Everything you need is located at this amazing location.Our host Mr. Tom Holtz again provided exceptional Service checking in on us several times during our visit to make sure everything was OK.I highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere in the Tri-Cities ,Asheville, Bristol, Boone, Lake Watauga area,You cannot go wrong with this beautiful, secluded quiet place to enjoy a great vacation at.The house was extremely clean and had everything I needed for my vacation. I cannot wait till my next visit there.I promise you will love the host and the way he takes care of his business. Everyone don’t miss out on this check it out. I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you again, Mr. Holtz. Hope to be back soon. "

"The cabin is right off the highway so very easy to navigate the area. We spent evenings on the deck...comfortable chairs and surrounded by trees. The downstairs bedroom is quiet and the bed is very comfortable...we slept great! I like that there is a washer/dryer....we washed our swimsuits and towels so the car didn't smell like lake water on the way home! The furniture upstairs is comfy...we watched a bit of tv in the morning and it was nice to curl up on the couch (right under the air unit so VERY nice.....i love snuggling under a blanket while my husband is nice and cool). We didn't cook, but I have NEVER stayed at a place that is as well-stocked with coffees/spices/basics as this one! All in all...great place to land while we explored the area!"

"The inside was nicely decorated and clean. The outside needed some work done. There was some loose boards on the deck and walkways in the front. Was nice sitting on the porch. Didn't like the idea that we had to take sheets off bed , take towels and put everything in hamper and trash out to trash can. Its very hard to see where the driveway is at night. Needs a better marking!"

"We had a great stay at Hampton Haven. It is close to hiking trails and Wautaga Lake. It is also perfect for a larger family. We had a lot of room to hang out in the beautiful kitchen/family room area. The wrap around deck and fire pit area was a wonderful bonus and we enjoyed both. The kitchen is well stocked and having extra supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags was also a very convenient and appreciated."

"We had an amazing time during our week-long stay — this property is exceptional. It is beautifully appointed, extremely clean, and located in a very scenic area. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations. It offers a great layout for a family with kids, especially with the upstairs bedroom, full bathroom and loft space. The host was extremely personable and offered assistance with many wonderful recommendations in the area. He even made himself available by phone to answer our questions during our stay. We HIGHLY recommend this property. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area! Many thanks to the host for his impeccable hospitality!"
