Great place for a group

February Snowmobiling
Very spacious well appointed property in a very nice spot inside a gated community. Close to many things to do and worked out great for our snowmobiling spots on either side of Wardner.

Cozy cabin loaded with amenities
We stayed here for a weekend away and whitewater rafting. Jim met us at the property, showed us around, and even offered to bring us out in his boat if we had the time on very short notice for a great price. Unfortunately we couldn’t take him up on that, but we thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen and the outdoor amenities (bocce ball, badminton, hot tub, BBQ, patio, etc) and the basement was cool all day during 30+ degree temperatures. Beds were comfy. Checkout process was easy. We’ll definitely come back once we’re back in the area. A great place to stay for Fernie activities if you want a little more space and seclusion.

Very clean beautiful Mountain View home
My family and I spent a few days here and the house was really great. Very clean and well stocked. Jim asked us how things were going and made sure everything was top notch for us. It’s a short drive to some popular tourist sites so location was also great, as well as the quiet relaxing evenings with stunning views

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend with our group of friends. The photos are 100% accurate, and they have the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation rental. I also appreciated the hassle-free checkout process (no starting the laundry or stripping the beds). The house is well maintained and well thought out. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you.

Best Place I've Ever Stayed!
I've been booking vacay rentals since 2012. Multiple stays in the Okanagan, Vancouver, the Island, Alberta etc. This is by far the best place I have ever been. Cleanliness - 10/10 No dust, mildew or anything left under the sofa cushions. Total pride of ownership. Ammenities - 10/10 cribbage, fire pit, fire place (excellently vented), ping pong, indoor basketball competition, bar with large fridge, towels. Kitchen - 10/10 Chefs dream! Totally stocked and not with junk! Views - 9/10 So much potential. Trees need to be cleared or topped, but what you do see through the trees is majestic. It's the Rockies! Loved the bbq view!!!! Hot tub view too.....just relaxing. As a mature group of professionals, we were on a stag party. Met the owners upon arrival and we were assured that if we needed anything we just needed to let them know. This place is run so well, you really don't have to bother the owners. Just ask how to fire up the hot tub when you meet them. There is really no reason to not like this place. Great bang for buck! It is truly a sanctuary and I want to return and do it all over again if my buddy gets divorced!

Wonderful home
We spent Thanksgiving weekend in this house and it was perfect. House is remarkably well equipped and the neighbourhood felt secure (gated community with coded entry). Very clean, comfortable, and lots of space to relax. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings, views of the trees and lake, large kitchen, and the fire pit. Jim responded quickly to any questions and was very gracious when we had to reschedule earlier in the year. Would love to book again some time!

I came with my spouse, our 11 year old daughter, her buddy, my Mom and Father in-law and our 2 dogs. First off Jim was a spectacular host and really went the extra mile to far exceed our expectations for any vacation rental! We will definitely rent this property again. The home itself is over the top beautiful with all the finishing touches and picturesque views off the balcony. It was packed full with every ammenitity you could imagine. Indoor and out there was fun and games for all ages. They have carnival style popcorn maker in the basement (popcorn provided) the kids enjoyed a theater style movie night after a long day😁. You could pack clothes and food and forget everything else because they forgot nothing.! The private dock is a short walk down the hill and when you spend the day on the beautiful warm lake koocanusa you can come back and unwind in the hot tub, hydro massage jetted tub and snore like a baby in the ultra plush beds🥰 Honestly best trip ever blew us out of the water!

Perfect family getaway
We’ve been vacationing in the area for years. This property was perfect for us. The view is gorgeous, as is the house. Tons of towels and extra bedding, pillows, etc. All the beds were nice and comfortable. The kids loved the games, both indoor and out, and kept busy playing with each other. We enjoyed our family meals at the big dining table where we could all sit together. The kitchen is huge with high end appliances and has everything needed to prepare meals. We were out exploring the area and enjoy the beaches during the day and the hot tub was a wonderful place to end the day. Jim was there to greet us and give a quick tour and let us know he was available for any questions. We even took him up on his offer to take us out on his boat for an afternoon of water sports, for a reasonable fee. He had everything we needed and the kids and adults had a blast. He knew exactly where to take us cliff diving and for warm water. It was nice and relaxing for the adults to just watch the kids and enjoy the water and views. We will definitely be back!

This was a great place to stay, and Jim was an excellent host. The house was clean and spacious, and we really enjoyed using the hot tub, backyard, and large deck. As we were planning our trip Jim was very helpful in providing information about activities available nearby, and answering any questions we had. This was a great place to stay with our two young children, extended family members, and our dog.

Fabulous family get together.
We needed to be somewhere safe comfortable and ideal for a family get together. This was perfect. It rained but that didn’t matter. We lite a fire in the fireplace, played games, visited, cooked fabulous meals in the gourmet kitchen, slept well in comfy beds and even went for walks to the lake. We found it peaceful serene and quiet. Perfect.

The pictures do not do this place justice. Absolutely beautiful house, with everything you could possibly need. The deck outside is fantastic!!! The host was so accommodating/helpful and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The boat trip was amazing, and we honestly cannot say enough about this house/stay/host. We stayed for 5 days over Easter and this Cabin was perfect for 2 families of 4! The hot tub, games room, and main floor were great for our families. Check in was smooth and the house is fully stocked with everything you could think of. We mountain biked and did a great hike right from the cabin. Also, a quick walk down to the beach. Overall awesome experience.

what a blast!!
It was so tidy and clean for such an unusual time. Even the widow tracks and blinds were so clean no dust at all. It was a great location for skiing and horse back riding and also snowshoeing for the winter activities. My kids(age 16,14,12,8,6) had so much fun and a great get away at this property. Enough room for the teenagers to hide or hang out with great toys which were provided. Jim was great when we need help or questions. He replied in a second to help out. It was awesome that sitting in the hot tub after ski and see all the stars in there while we were relaxing. We would like to come back in the summer to try out the river near by. Thanks Jim

Beautiful home; beautiful setting
Our family gathered to spend time together at this central location in the East Kootenay's. The home is nestled into a secluded spot with incredible views. Everything was very clean with high end finishes throughout. There was lots of room for everyone to spread out and so nice to have the wood burning fireplace to help set the ambiance. The beds were comfortable with adequate blankets etc. Thank you Jim for allowing us to stay in your incredible home!
