Absolutely loved the privacy, the conveniences, and Ms. Jenny’s gardens. It was wonderful to be surrounded by the beautiful countryside and lovely animals.
Well kept and organized conversion that met our needs for exploring Oxfordshire for a few days. Very friendly hosts and dogs/wildlife. Great weather and lots of things to do in the vicinity, good local pubs and walks.
highly recommended.
A comfortable quirky cottage in a converted stable. It has everything you could need and the owners are friendly and helpful. The free roaming geese and duck plus their eggs were a bonus. There are ducklings on their way and we were sorry to miss their hatching.
The cottage was just perfect for a do nothing weekend. We have an elderly dog who loved the spacious garden and meadow. The cottage was just right and the hearth was a welcome addition to be lit in the evening. Location and local pubs and places to eat were excellent. Thank you so much Jenny, we’ll be back!
Very interesting and comfortable stable conversion. we had glorious weather so made use of the outside area. Jenny and Robert were friendly and informative. The area is pretty rolling hills with beechwoods and plenty of good footpaths to explore. The bluebells were at their peak.
We had a lovely weekend, great walks and good food and drink at local pubs all within walking distance for us. Our hosts were very welcoming and the property is well equipped. We has some lovely evenings sat around the wood burner and would visit again.
Lovely, well equipped and beautifully clean cottage. Delightful patio garden. We had a superbly relaxing stay, enjoying the local walks and eating good food with great service at the nearby pub.
We enjoyed our stay very much! Having the most amazing weather for our stay too!! We enjoyed our morning exercise in the Heath and exploring the nearby towns and pubs.
The Stables is a fabulous play to stay, nestled in the heart of the Chilterns, with Red Kites circling in the valley.
Well equipped and comfortable, it is a great base to walk from and a short drive to Henley/Wallingford with great pubs nearby too.
Perfect cottage in countryside for a short break with our grandchildren. 20 mins drive from Henley on Thames which is a beautiful town. Lovely villages round about with pubs for good food.
Our whole interaction with the owners of The Old Stables was superb - from booking, to communication, to arrival and the accomodation itself. We were made very welcome and the cottage was beautiful. We would definitely rebook for next year.

Heavenly!
This is my 7th stay and the only cottage in England that I call home. I never want to leave. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Jenny and Robert!
I couldn't be happier with this property. The garden was lovely, the house charming and the owners so easy to work with. We enjoyed how close the property was to some quintessential English villages.
Spotlessly clean and very cosy and warm, a huge log burner and fantastically comfy beds. The welcome was warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We really felt like guests. Highly recommend.
