If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll notice a few more rules and restrictions in place. Take note of these tips and make your escape to Walkers Creek a smooth one:

• Understand the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book your flight.
• You must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Rather, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag for X-ray screening.
• Remove items from your pocket, such as your phone, keys and wallet, and place them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• If you're planning to take food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
