Top hotels and accommodation in Wakayama

Kada Onsen Seaside Hotel Kada Kaigetsu
3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (328)
"We were surprised with the newly renovated hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly. When I told him we could not catch the next morning train back to Shin-Osaka with their regular shuttle service, he offered to help us to book taxi and printed out train schedule with platform on/off outlined. View from our corner room 456 was stunning. We booked fish dinner which was good, breakfast was a bit boring Japanese rice but they provide enough coffee for coffee addict ;-)"

"Excellent stay.. great helpful staff and convenient location. Super comfy rooms, nice amount of space window seating and great showers. I loved the option for the onsen and it was super hot and relaxing. People with tattoos can also use the facilities from 12 MA-4AM.. Super safe for solo travelers- the room key will only let you go on your floor and the onsen floor. I didn't try the breakfast, but it looked like it had nice options. They will also store your bag for the day while you explore...

Kamome Slow Hotel
3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (89)
"It's more of a bed&breakfast than a hotel. No dining room, etc. -- mainly just individual rooms off of an external corridor that gives it an almost motel-type feel. However, it is indeed right on the water, the location and views are stunning, the rooms are clean and esoteric and breakfast delivered in a bamboo basket is incredibly charming. Would definitely recommend "

"Very near to convenient store which was a good thing. But as it was winter time, the area was quite cold which we chose not to have BBQ dinner. Also, the view for sunset was blocked by nearby buildings which was a bit disappointing. And the room we stayed had a smoking odour which was a bit unpleasant. However, the room was spacious and beautiful which made the glamping experience good. "

"We paid $270 per night for this hotel. We were given the only room on the entrance floor of the hotel. So all we could hear was everyone coming in and out of the hotel, the lockers being opened up to place ones shoes in in the foyer, the cars on the road (our window was on the street). The windows had no frosting on them so we couldn't even open the blinds as everyone would be able to see right into our room. Very basic amenities, for the price we paid, we were very disappointed.
