A very pleasant stay in a well-appointed double roomed unit. Very comfortable, with a pleasant exterior patio. Service from the resort manager top-rate. A fantastic place right next to the beach.

Great location, with only a short walk to the beach. We had a room that went straight out to the pool that was convenient for the kids. It was quiet here which was nice. The only down side was limited parking, we did have a parking space for our room but someone else parked there, although the staff did arrange for the car to be moved. There was not a lot of space to turn around a large vehicle.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit with two grandchildren aged 11 and 9. Excellent pool and spa pool. Well equipped kitchen with good sized fridge. Floor tiles throughout, were very slippery for children if they got wet (the tiles and the children!) Management gave us some old towels to put down on the floor...much appreciated. Very close to beach and Waipu Cove to Langs Beach Coastal walk. Would stay again.

The parking is as tight as as any nightmare imaginable. Definitely had t worry about car being clipped by cars trying to exit The internet was as slow as the AOL disk up days, and it failed to connect to my girlfriend's iPhone. This never was able to fixed by the staff member. Worse, the hotel is located where trucks apply air brakes, so all night long there was the loud screech of truck air brakes being used.

Thank you Robert for your Review and sorry to hear you did not enjoy your 1 night stay with us.The parking is tight but with a little patience it does work, and there is always an option to park out front of the property which is very safe.Unsure what the issue was with the WIFI connection on your girlfriends phone, but obviously a phone issue if you were able to connect on yours. Sometimes turning the Phone off and restarting can fix the problem.When running at full occupancy, dependant on other guests usage this can slow down some, but will look into the problem.Traffic is not normally an issue but at present SH1 has been detoured via Mangawhai due to the Brynderwyns Closure. Trucks are not meant be using this.We hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in NZ and wish you safe travels - Kind Regards

Hi Sandra.Thank you for your Review and letting us know of some issues you had.The Super King you slept on is a Medium so could be your preference of bed to be soft. Wish there was a button we could press to change the firmness.WIFI should have been just fine but have reset the Devices just in case. The TV Remote has been found and our apologies it wasn't available. Guests must have been turning it on and off Manually. It would be great should you have issues just to give the office a call so these can be rectified at the time to give you a better experience. Kind Regards

We loved the location...an easy walk over to the beach. The apartment had a well stocked kitchen...and the hot spa tub was a hit with my son. The property and the units had great beach-themed art. We were only there one night but could easily have stayed longer.

Was charged more than I expected and cleaning lady enters my room no knock and takes my key that was on the kitchen bench. I spent ages looking for it until I realised it was her.won’t be staying again

You would have been advised the stay charge by Expedia at time of booking, so no surprise at the charge on check-in. We do however sincerely apologise for entering the room before you had checked out, but due to no vehicles on the property had thought all guests had gone. Once we had taken the key from the bench we did not wish to interrupt again and had hoped to catch you on leaving to let you know we had the key. Wishing you all the best.

Hi Robyn and thank you for your review. The one night stay was not enough time to enjoy all that Waipu Cove has to offer. The Spa Pool still works well so unsure why you think this needs replacing. It may not be the latest of the latest but still works well. We have looked for your something of value and am sorry we did not come across it after the clean and another two persons checking for you. We have a lost property box which everything left behind is put in and if valuable contact the guests directly. Regards.

Simply the best
We really loved this place absolutely beautiful had its own outdoor space BBQ area gorgeous living room kitchen bathroom bedroom, we can not fault this motel one bit it was so clean and tidy perfection a absolute credit to the owners, pool was lovely even though we didn’t use it same with the spa pool, laundry great.. restaurant, dairy, take away close by, motel just a short walk to the beach would most definitely love to go back again and most definitely recommend this motel. Thank you 😊👍

It was in a nice quiet Cove, with a great restaurant just a short stroll away. Good for a stopover. Needs air conditioning in the bedroom.

Un Winding in Waipu
We were just passing through the area, not quite sure what we were going to see but we we’re really impressed. Waipu Cove is gorgeous and the hotel is very close to the beach to enjoy it. The room we had was very spacious and had a wonderful private outdoor eating area. We would definitely visit again.

Great place - 2 minute walk to ocean
It’s an excellent place that is a two minute walk to the ocean. The manager was very nice and accommodating. She constantly checked if I needed anything. I will stay here again.

The rooms were very spacious and well equipped. Very tidy grounds, lovely pool etc. Perfect location near The Cove Restaurant where we had a family event and right next to the beach.

We stayed four nights at a 2 bedroom unit 9. The unit has all we needed, full kitchen, washing machine, dryer, cloth hanger, outdoor dining table, BBQ, own garden and big deck. Because this unit is at the corner. It has good privacy that make it feels like home. Except our home doesn't have pool, spa pool and 50+ channel SkyTV. Off course, the pool and spa pool are shared facilities. The general store is next door of the hotel. The cafe and bar is just 100m away. The location is very handy.

Modern clean and comfortable
Excellent location, easy walk to beach, store and cafe. We liked the spaces. Smallish lounge but nice outdoor courtyard and perfect for two people. Appreciated the modern decor, comfy bed, nice linen and the utilities. Excellent shower. Well equipped kitchen. Exceptionally clean. Thank You.
