They "said" they had an electrical issue and contacted Expedia to tell me that "they put me up" in the "roadside motel" across the street. We chose this place to break up our drive back to Wellington, and it was so clean and comfortable, was a perfect place to stay overnight.

You can spend time studying the exhibits at National Army Museum Te Mata Toa during your trip to Waiouru. Take in the museums while you're in the area.
As we were back for an Army reunion after 30 odd years for the weekend, understandably the place has changed a lot, but still a lot of good memories. Waiouru will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Waiouru.
