Our 2 bedroom park motel was clean, roomy and wonderful for families. Kids LOVED the jumping pillow and playground and being close to the beach. Enjoyed relaxing on comfortable couch watching Sky TV after our fun-filled days. Only negative was the out of order games and spa pool.

Enjoyed Our Stay

Had a relaxing weekend stay in their luxury Ocean View cabins - one of 2 on a small hill overlooking the sea a wee distance away. The cabin was clean and well appointed with everything we needed including toiletries and a hair dryer. A note in the kitchen warned of an ant problem and we did encounter a few despite our best efforts to keep food away from any source - we might have brought sealed containers with us had we been aware prior. On arrival we were given information about walks in the area and there are plenty of them. The view from the top of the headland above the cabins is well worth the effort involved. Used the spa pool at a cost of $20 for 45 min. Weren't told prior to payment that not all of the jets were working, told when we arrived for our session. While not a big issue this meant we didnt get the full experience you expect of a spa pool and we may not have booked it had we known. Highly recommend the Flat White for dinner a short 10 min drive away in Waihi Beach area, very few options closer and any open didnt come highly rated. All in all a great spot for a short getaway and we would consider returning.

End of the road

People were super friendly and attentive. I booked an extra night and thought we would pop in to let staff know and see if we could stay in the same cabin. A few minutes later they were at the door asking if we’d like to stay in the same place. Staff also came by to make sure we had enough coffee, etc. Beautiful beach steps away and uncrowded for our stay. It’s not a luxury resort but perfect for a holiday park.

Great location very close to the beach. When we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to a studio unit - a lovely surprise and a lovely unit. The staff were great and came and dropped off the rugby world cup schedule to the unit.
