"Such a tranquil and beautiful place. We had the best night’s sleep for ages because the cave was cool and the air was kept humid to protect the stone. Céline and Stève were lovely - so welcoming. Stève gave us the fascinating history of the place and in the morning Céline had prepared the most delicious home-made breakfast which we ate in the peaceful pretty garden courtyard in front of our cave. Les Troglos is a gem and our stresses melted away."

"It’s an old building… with an overgrown garden like an haunted mansion. First impression was to run… seemed like a horror movie set. Old furniture with dantesque paintings in this dark manor. BUT… we stayed as was only a motorway stop. Dinner was in the middle of the garden… and food was AMAZING. Room was super specious and super clean… with all the accessories. Breakfast was generous and well presented in a room from 1830!! Great value for money… and super well connected to lovely locations...

"Very friendly staff and a warm welcome for us and our bikes on arrival and we appreciated the option of having dinner on site as it was pouring rain. The dinner was excellent and tasty even though not cooked on the premises. We appreciated the use of the kettle downstairs in the lobby but would have like one in the room. We had a problem during our stay and the staff member Tom went above and beyond to help us - he was polite, understanding and everything you could wish for. Great shower and rooms."

"Fantastic stay in a real castle. Great staff on reception and warm welcome for us and our bikes. Had dinner in the restaurant which is located past the hotel's garden area so a little bit of a walk but well worth it for a tasty meal using their own ingredients. There were several stink bugs that came in through the window but easy to get rid of them and they were harmless but probably just the time of year and because we opened the window on the warm side of the building - however worth noting if you are super anti-bug. We would have appreciated a kettle in the room but you could get coffee etc brought up if required. Excellent breakfast with option for added eggs and bacon. Overall amazing opportunity to stay in such a fabulous location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Really beautiful gardens and fun to explore."

"We loved our stay here! It is in a lovely town full of little shops and restaurants. Right by a castle. We upgraded and got a beautiful view of the castle with a balcony. Nice pool. You do need to make up your bed, bring extra toilet paper and tidy up before you go! Friendly staff we encountered and perfect location to visit all the chateaus in the Loire Valley."
