"We entered Ecuador completely blind not knowing what to expect and on arrival were met by a national strike, riots and soldiers on the streets, suffice to say we were a little scared.
However our initial impressions and experience soon turned into one of the greatest countries I have visited, and undoubtedly the best hotel I have ever stayed at, seriously if you are ever in Ecuador (and you must visit) you have to stay at the Hacienda Rumiloma it is a wonderful hotel that not only treats it's...

"This hotel is nothing short of excellent. It was very affordable. Our room was huge and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and so helpful with everything. We were not far from restaurants, shopping and a mini mart. I’d come back to Quito just to stay here."

"We had a wonderful time at Casa Hotel Las Plazas. We really appreciated how attentive the whole staff (family) were to our needs, including scheduling of transfers. We loved the breakfasts and the explanations of the local foods and fruits."

"I stayed for a few days on business and this was a grand stay. If you’re looking for a place that has a cast amount of dinner option and where you can get your shopping done. This is it. It is classy and staff is ready to jump in and help you. It’s the perfect place for high end business travelers. I had a great stay. Thank you "
"I give Hotel Casa Alquimia 5☆ because there are no more stars to add. I absolutely loved my stay there with my family. Andre was very responsive and accommodating and all of the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
I really appreciated the hotel's added service of being picked up and dropped off at the airport for a reasonable price. Additionally, I waited last minute to book a tour so there were no available tours for the days I wanted, but I didn't know that the hotel also offered a variety of tours that luckily I was able to book very quickly with the help of management. I was very grateful for our tour guide Yoel, and driver Manuel who were very professional, knowledgeable and fun to be around. They took us to "Baños" were my family and I enjoyed several activities all strategically put together to get the best nature experience I could asked for. My kids completely loved this adventure Yoel prepared for us, the restaurant he suggested and the patience to answer all our questions about the country.
Finally, the hotel is so beautiful and conveniently located. Everything inside the hotel looks cozy, nicely decorated and well-preserved, keeping its original style intact.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh, healthy and prepared by the nicest people ever.
I never thought I would fall in love with Quito so much. Whenever I come back to Ecuador, I'm definitely coming back Hotel Casa Alquimia. I'm really thankful to them for making our stay so unique and memorable. "

However our initial impressions and experience soon turned into one of the greatest countries I have visited, and undoubtedly the best hotel I have ever stayed at, seriously if you are ever in Ecuador (and you must visit) you have to stay at the Hacienda Rumiloma it is a wonderful hotel that not only treats it's guest like family, but is run entirely by the workers as a collective. I honestly have never felt so welcome and safe away from my own home.
When the tensions died down we were eventually able to leave our hotel and explore the capital visiting the old town and the equator with our amazing tour guide Andres from the hotel. We also went on amazing hikes with some of the best views I have ever seen just behind the hotel!
100% must visit!"
"The food was excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner. I loved their dining room setting and their wonderful staff. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable."
