10/10 Excellent
"It was relaxing to have a very big bed after a long day of travelling. The shower was easy to access & easy to use after we had worked out what to do with the shower gel, you squeeze it. Couldn't comment on meals, we didn't partake of any."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Vix?
The best time to visit Vix is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the vineyards.

These months offer comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for cycling along the Burgundy Canal or walking through the historic village. The vineyards are at their most picturesque, either bursting with new growth in spring or adorned with rich autumnal colours as harvest season approaches. This period also avoids the peak summer crowds, allowing for a more relaxed experience at local wineries and attractions.

For those interested in wine tasting and cellar tours, early autumn is particularly appealing as it coincides with the grape harvest. Many local producers offer special tours and events during this time, providing a unique insight into the winemaking process.
