Family Reunion

The Chateau managers were really helpful and friendly. Swimming pool excellent, everyone enjoyed this area; kitchen is impressive, seating 17 adults and children with ease. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery and utensils. Good fridge and freezer space. Dishwasher worked overtime as did the laundry facilities!

Best birthday ever!

I decided to host my family and friends in a chateau in Champagne for my 50th birthday! I chose this one because it looked like it jumped off the page of a Brontë novel. After reading reviews and looking in a map, I wasn’t expecting anything near by. So we had planned to enjoy some time at the chateau, have a birthday party, then head out on day trips. Épernay/Reims and Dijon are all about 2 hours away. It was perfect. I could not have been happier with my decision. We very comfortably fit 13 women and my 82 yo father in all the rooms. The house was spacious and we never felt crowded. The town is quaint and beautiful with a store for groceries. An easy walk just across the street. And the views along the Seine are picturesque and lovely. Jan Michele and Valerie could not have been more gracious. They received us on our first night and made the check in process seemless. We also had a wonderful champagne tasting which was delightful and a great way to get the lay of the land! They were always available to help us and delivered the best breakfast to us each morning. The pastries were truly the best we had on our trip! The chateau was exactly as I’d hoped and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good spot for a large group to spend some fun days together or as a good base if you have transportation to travel around Champagne and Burgundy. And don’t mind the ghost. It seems they throw a party with lots of laughter on the final night. Paybacks maybe ;)

A wonderful stay made better by fantastic hosts!

Valerie and Jean-Michel made our stay 10x better than it already would have been. The house is gorgeous and the perfect spot for a long weekend in Champagne with 17 friends. The hosts were attentive and helped in organising a fantastic champagne tasting at a local vineyard & recommending local catering. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend the chateau to anyone!

Wonderful Group Getaway

17 of us recently stayed at the chateau. It was a great experience. The hosts organized two days of wine tours followed by 4 course meals cooked for us at the house for very reasonable prices. The house was clean and true to the photos and description. It was perfect for a large group to share. Many of the rooms are multiple beds so it's best for a group that knows each other well prior, but was very comfortable.

Château des Tertres

Séjour d'un week end pour un évènement familial. La situation du château est excellente : environnement vallonné, boisé, proximité du village avec quelques magasins indispensables. Le parc du château est superbe avec des arbres plusieurs fois centenaires, très bien entretenu. Accès direct à la forêt avec sentiers de randonnés. L'intérieur est vaste et très propre et bien aménagé. Cuisine confortable et bien équipée (Voir remarques cependant) L'accueil par Valérie et Jean Pierre est très sympathique et aussi très professionnel, un vrai plaisir ! Ils nous ont donné quantité de conseils - un grand merci à eux deux. Le temps était de la partie avec trois jours de plein soleil d'où l'utilisation de la grande piscine extérieure, chauffée, avec des transats neufs, de grands moments de détente (exposition sud et ouest). Les anciennes écuries contiennent diverses distractions en particulier, l'inoubliable quad à pédale qui génère de grands éclats de rires ! Une agréable visite de cave de champagne, organisée avec efficacité par Jean Pierre, nous a permis d'apprécier l'environnement viticole du château. Bref, un super moment en famille. Remarques : pour atteindre un niveau de prestations équivalentes au niveau du château, il est indispensable de renouveler les tables extérieures qui sont littéralement pourries. Coté cuisine (très bien équipée par ailleurs) il faudrait que les lave-vaisselles soient changés car ils sont notoirement déficients sur la qualité du lavage.

Un château magnifique pour un week-end parfait

Nous avions réservé ce magnifique château pour l'enterrement de jeune fille de notre amie, qui a été éblouie par les lieux ! Tout était parfaitement équipé : 2 frigos et un grand congélateur étaient ce dont nous avions besoin pour nourrir notre tribu de 20 filles. Le jardin est immense et nous avons pu y organiser des olympiades. Enfin, nous avons également profité de l'intérieur, décoré avec goût et aux volumes incroyables. Un grand merci aux hôtes pour leur réactivité ! Nous avons passé un week-end mémorable et nous recommanderons certainement le lieu autour de nous.

Beautiful chataux and very suited to the group in our party who ranged in age from 2 to 65; very quiet empty township (bakery closed for summer) so breads predominantly bought from carrefour, sein was gorgeous to swim in (smaller than expected) and run down interiors made having children around not feel like we had to stand on ceremony.

Amazing!!!

We booked the Château for a group of several families for holiday and it did not disappoint at all. Quiet area, beautiful accommodations. You will need a car to get there and get around, but there is plenty to explore. Depending on when you arrive, don’t plan on finding an open grocery store or restaurant. We did finally find somewhere to eat the first night, but regretted not having hired the chef for that night. The small town closes down early. That said, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Host is helpful and stays in communication. Everything was perfect!

Très bon week-end entre amis avec enfants

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end de 3 jours (2 nuits) dans le chateau à 4 couples + 8 enfants. Excellent accueil de Jean-Michel et Valérie. Les lieux étaient très propres, les équipements (notamment cuisine) très bien adaptés à notre groupe assez nombreux. Les chambres (toutes à l'étage) sont très spacieuses, chacune ou presque à une salle de bains. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le grand espace disponible (4 pièces de salon/salle à manger/bibliothèque) + cuisine immense qui nous a permis de passer un moment agréable, chacun pouvant trouver assez d'espace, alors même que nous étions très nombreux. Grand parc très agréable permettant de faire des promenades sans reprendre la voiture. Seul bémol, les travaux en cours de la piscine mais nous avons tout de même pu nous baigner et elle sera sans nul doute très agréable une fois terminée (à voir sécurisation pour les enfants petits car elle est très très proche de la maison). Bref, un excellent séjour, nous reviendrons !

Impression positive dès notre arrivée mais pas mal de petits soucis : pas d'accès à la piscine car pas nettoyée, fuite d'eau et evier bouché dans 2 chambres , barbecue inutilisable car pas nettoyé par les occupants précédents. Prévoir une notice pour utilisation des différents fours car impossible de s'en servire correctement .Nous avons donc rencontré des problèmes pour réchauffer nos plats .

Super demeure pour héberger en mode « chatelain » notre groupe de 12. Revoir les accessoires de cuisines ( couteaux , fourchettes, verres) car il est difficile de trouver 12 exemplaires identique du même article. De même il faudrait plus de chaises autour de la table du séjour. Le salon canapé piano est topissime pour un apéro détente . Les chambres sont vastes et bien chauffées.

Een prachtig gelegen kasteel midden in de natuur

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het kasteel. De ligging is prachtig, mooie wijnvelden en bossen. De woonkamer en bibliotheek zijn mooi ingericht. Prima bedden ook. Op loopafstand een bakker en supermarkt dus elke dag vers brood. Onze honden hebben zich ook prima vermaakt. Ze konden wel zo het bos in lopen dus wel een beetje opletten. We zouden hier met alle plezier nog een keer verblijven.

Beautiful Old World Charm

We had a group of 14 people stay at the Chateau for 4 nights and all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. The chateau was clean, spacious and very comfortable after our long days touring the surrounding area. There is grocery shopping nearby as well as a small market in town for those last minute things, especially on Sunday when all else is closed! The owners were very helpful and attentive when needed. The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for large groups.

Tout était presque parfait... Accueil chaleureux et cordial, les chambres sont spacieuses, l'insonorisation entre les différentes pièces du chateau est optimale, la cuisine tres bien équipée, la piscine opérationnelle... Cependant, le babyfoot situé au 2ème étage n'a pu être utilisé, et pas de filet pour la table de ping pong... Dommage, les enfants étaient un peu déçus. Rien d'autre à rajouter...

Bon séjour au Chateau mais manque d équipement

Le séjour à été agréable et le Chateau très beau toutefois les équipements mentionnés dans l annonce ne sont pas conformes En effet nous cherchions une demeure avec piscine mais elle n y était pas ensuite pour les enfants la console ne fonctionnait pas et vraiment le point sur lequel J insiste en pleine coupe d Europe la télé ne fonctionnait pas un élément important qu il aurait fallu signaler avant notre arrivée ou tout simplement dans l annonce qui est faussée, La France jouait dimanche une partie de la famille A été frustré et très mécontente de ne pas pouvoir regarder la télé et surtout que l on ne nous est pas informé nous aurions ainsi prévu d autres équipements voir louer autre chose .
