Also called taxis for us. The hotel also has its own water stop, which is great if you are taxing a water taxi to hotel. "

Highly recommend this hotel to people who want to be close to St Marks Square, very good restaurants and high end shopping. We pre-purchased a deluxe room through Hotels.com back in December and wondered what our accommodations would be. We arrived a little early and could not check in but the staff took our luggage for storage and gave us a discount coupon for a restaurant near by. Had a marvelous lunch next to a gondola service and watched the gondolas travel by. Back at the hotel, we were told our room was almost ready but it would be worth the additional wait. We were not disappointed. We were given the penthouse that had a separate living area. A bedroom with a very comfortable king bed and a surprise. The bedroom window opened onto a staircase that led to a private patio on the roof. Our room was the only one in the hotel that had a name, not a number. It was the Antonia. I have to assume it was the best in the hotel. Breakfast was not included in our rental but was discounted if we were in the Antonia room. Don’t miss breakfast. We only stayed three nights but now wish it could have been longer. "

"The staff at this hotel was beyond fantastic. They were 5 out of 5 for dinner recommendations. The location is very walkable to some of the city's biggest attractions. Gondolas float by the window day and night. The water taxi entrance prevents you from dragging your luggage around the city. We had a large room with a large bathroom and a long but skinny tub. Ask about the bed sizes. I'm tall, and the bed was a bit too small for me. The buildings are all old, so expect old building features, but that adds to the charm of the experience. The breakfast buffet was just what we needed every morning, with European and American options. The client experience made you feel like the most important person in the room. I would definitely stay here again. "
