"Our family of four was very fortunate to spend nine nights in this wonderful house on the hillside overlooking Umbertide. It was perfectly situated, offering complete privacy, while at the same time being a 30-45 minute drive to many sightseeing opportunities. We particularly enjoyed Gubbio and Perugia, and also the Frasassi caves, which were a slightly longer drive away.It was a particularly warm week, so we spent much of our time in the pool, surrounded by the extremely well maintained grounds and enjoying the beautiful view. There is a really good selection of outdoor furniture available poolside for maximizing relaxation. Wifi was good both inside and outside. The photos of the property are very accurate and if anything, the house and garden are more charming in person.Grocery stores with a very good selection, and restaurants are reachable within a 10 minute drive. Communication with our hosts was extremely good. In particular, we would like to give an extra thanks to Laura who was always available within minutes for any questions!We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property and will remember it fondly!"

"The property itself was beautiful, from the lawns, gardens, and pool to the grape vines. It was relaxing to stay in the countryside, but close enough to walk to dinner one night. But don’t miss having dinner at their restaurant—the best antipasto plate!"

"Casale di John was perfect for our stay for a nearby wedding. The hosts were extremely friendly, responsive, and even gave us a ride to the welcome reception when our train was delayed getting into town. The house is beautiful and spacious and the property was picturesque to give you that authentic Italian countryside feeling. Plus two friendly dogs to welcome you when you arrive!"
