Vernazza!!
Beautiful apartment. Easy to get to and from the Main Street. Even took train to visit beautiful Montorosso also. Look forward to return some day to hike trail. Wish I had more days! Thank you!

Great Location, however...
This apartment is just a few steps away from the main city street, which provides great access to all the shops an restaurants. Unlike many of the other places in Vernazza, you do not have a lot of steps to get to it. The apartment has all the amenities you would need for an extended stay. We were there when it was raining, and the apartment was very musty. The furnace/water heater located in bath room was quite loud, and made sleeping a bit of a challenge. Also, be sure you take short showers. Even with just two of us, the hot water ran out frequently. We never had direct communication with the owner. It appears that this flat is owned or managed by some kind of agency, so all communication was via email. I would have preferred to have direct communication with an individual. Finally, they surprise you with a cleaning fee (which was not listed on VRBO) even though they make you take your own trash to the bins by the rail station. It might be a better location in dry warm weather, but unfortunately the very strong musty smell made it less than enjoyable. We would not return.

Convenient location
Vernazza is a cliff city so it's no surprise this apartment is up several steps. It is clean an well stocked. Located close to the beach, shopping, and dining it is convenient for getting to everything.

No Windows
This is a nice place - clean and user friendly - but it also has several drawbacks. First - no windows in a place where the views are fabulous. Second, the AC system is loud, and some sort of plumbing cycle runs constantly all night and is also loud. And as others have said, a couple of beach towels would be a welcomed addition.

Clean, unique, well-appointed apartment
It was so nice to be able to buy fresh food at the market in Monterosso and cook our own dinner! The location of this apartment made it easy to walk to dinner, breakfast, and to walk down to the water and watch the sun set or jump in for a quick dip. We would stay again!

First time to cinque terre and had no idea what to expect but this was fantastic. It was close to everything. Only a few steps to carry luggage up. I highly recommend this location. Place smelled a bit musty but wasn’t off putting. Would have been nice for there to be beach towels in a beach town. Had to go and buy some and try and figure out how to fit them in our luggage to go home. Overall great stay. Would come back!

Amazing Location
This property is incredibly central and steps from the beach. Vernazza has become very busy during the day, but after the day trippers leave, it is very pleasant. Late night swims in the ocean and steps back to your room is incredible. Two teens on a pull out a d two adults on a queen bed worked perfectly.

Great location, easy walking distance to everything. Easy to find with the owners directions. It just was very musty, cold and damp. Might need a dehumidifier. Some beach towels might be a good option to include for guests

Great location! Steps away from the harbor & piazza and a few minutes' walk to the train station. While I couldn't figure out how to work the TV to watch King Charles' Coronation, the Wi-Fi was excellent and I was able to stream BBC on my tablet. Lorenza responded quickly to the few questions I had. Overall, a great experience - grazie mille!

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Cinque Terre
BEWARE: absurd hidden cleaning fee after booking to receive check-in instructions. Just another gorgeous apartment tainted by a poorly run property management company with bad communication skills & zero human interaction. High penalties for every incident of leaving dirty dishes & not separating trash. That being said, the apartment itself was great; built into the side of a granite mountain, which served as an accent wall behind the bed & in the bathroom. Stunning. Vernazza is beautiful, historic & small, so you’re within walking distance of everything.

Two Day Trip
The room with kitchen facilities was very nice. Very clean and easy to get to. The people of the town were very helpful pointing us in the right direction. We enjoyed the closeness to the harbor. We were overall very happy with our accommodations.

Overall good experience, BUT.
First the good. The apartment is in a good location , and it was clean and very well stocked with the things you might need. We arrived mid-morning and stored our luggage in the apartment while the maid cleaned. It was difficult to find and the boys who were supposed to help schlep the luggage could not be located. There needed to be better communication on where to find them. When we moved in the maid explained that we were not to run the AC/dehumidifyer while not in residence, which we did not. There was a strong musty smell in the apartment which was covered up by room freshner...not a good solution. The apartment overall was good but the musty moldy smell is offputting. The hot water lasted through one short shower so we could not both shower before going to dinner. We ended up taking really short showers, turning water off while soaping. Just not what you want on your holiday.

Good morning Mary, than you for your reviwe. I'll use it to improve my location. I would like to specify some points, firt of all that the boys who help the guests with luggage and check in have a Office at the train station of Vernazza, very simply to find. The AC/dehumidifier was works on, so the smell you felt was because you din't open the window (there are two windws over the doors) and dind't turn on the AC in days when it rained a lot. For the shower, in the apartment (like all the apartments in 5 terre) there is a water heater, it is used to no waste the water as it could happen in a hotel but surely it is good to make at least two showers, it all depends on the duration of the first shower you did. I'm still happy to have had you as guests! Best regards!

Adventure in Vernazza
We enjoyed a weekend in Vernazza - the property location was great and it was perfectly aligned with the pictures and description. Being built into the rocks and having that exposed added to the overall fun, adventurous ambiance. I would recommend to others.

Lovely stay in Vernazza
This is a lovely little apartment located just off the central square. We really enjoyed our stay here. Only issue was finding the apartment late at night for a self-check-in. If you are arriving late, ask for detailed directions.

Lorenza Cantina
A bit small for more than 3 people. Wi-fi could not connect. Those are the only negatives. Now the positives... absolutely fantastic, cutest place you could imagine. So charming and comfortable. A/c was a great plus. Location could not be better. 30 second walk to cappuccino, restaurants, oceanfront and shops. 2 minute walk to train. And yet, very quiet and private. Better than ever expected.

Great. But 2 things need repair. The WiFi and A/C
A super location. Super well maintained. Super clean. Super décor. The only downsides were the WiFi (which has been reported many times) and the A/C which only seems to be a fan. The owner and team are super. The pictures are accurate. It’s a gem. But again. Small updates are needed. We’ll go back for sure. Even if the issues are not resolved as A/C and WiFi is not the reason you go to Vernazza.

This property was amazing! We had such a great time here. So cool that the apartment is built into the mountain. Perfect location, close to the water and restaurants, but away enough to not be disrupted by traffic. This was my first time in this location, but my sister stayed here before and recommended to me. I would define recommend this place to others and I will be back myself.

We were awakened Saturday morning at 8:00 by hammering, loud voices and electric tools. The apartment is very nice and located right in the village of Vernazza. Clean and accommodating. I advise you check with the property manager regarding the noise and construction prior to booking.

Perfect location. Small, but clean and well appointed.
The apartment is a short walk from the train station and Lorenza's representative was easy to find at the station shop. He took us there, helping us with our bags. We were surprised by all the small touches - including toothpaste, shampoo and even a first aid kit as well as breakfast items in the apartment. We had just been in Florence for a few days in a much larger place that, though very splendid, had none of the above. It was just minutes from the harbor bwhich was perfect. What a beautiful place! We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more.

This is a perfect place to stay in Vernazza. The location can not be beat. Everything was clean and in working order, great lighting with plenty of outlets. There were lots of nice little extras: suntan lotion, bug spray, electricity conversion plug, shampoo, pamphlets with area attractions, etc. One surprise that I had is there are no windows, it was easy to get used to, but it’s something I didn’t expect. Also, it would have been nice to have beach towels since there is a little beach there. Great restaurants in town too!

Wonderful Studio apartment built into the rocks
First of all, I cannot say enough about the location of this apartment. It is right off of the main square with maybe 6 steps leading up to the front door. It is tucked back one alleyway so it is quiet as well but so close to the bakery, bars and trailhead to Monterosso. This apartment one room with beds(one sofa bed) enough for 4 people. I travelled with my husband and 2 children and it was perfect. The owner stocks the apartment very well with things you may need like packets of shampoo and I was very impressed to even find sunblock. It doesn't have windows but we didn't mind as we spent most of our time enjoying the town. The portable AC was a nice bonus but we had one night that we didn't even use it. I have been telling everyone about this incredible apartment and we will be back for a return visit.

Awesome apartment, great location
We loved our stay in the cantina. The space is VERY clean and well equipped. It was quiet, cool, and perfectly located in the town. Lorenza was very easy to communicate with. We only wish we had stayed for more nights to enjoy this great spot. If you come to Cinque Terre, come to Vernazza and stay in the Cantina.

Beautiful Apartment in Vernazza!
We had a fabulous time in Vernazza! The Lorenza apartment was everything that it was advertised to be and more. The location of the apartment was perfect for everything we wanted to do. It's right in the heart of Vernazza and just a few minutes walking distance from the water, the castle, the train station, and all of the great shops and restaurants in this amazing little town. The apartment has everything that you could want or need. Lorenza has it set up beautifully. It was plenty spacious enough for three of us. It was an ideal home-base for exploring the Cinque Terre! We will definitely recommend this apartment to our friends. We hope to return some day and we would book this apartment again for sure. We loved everything about Vernazza and our accommodations at the Lorenza made it even more memorable. Thank you! Cheers!!

No Windows
On the good side, the location is very near the water and care was taken to provide amenities. I had some questions and/or concerns which were dealt with quickly. My complaint is that it is small and there are NO WINDOWS. This is not apparent in the photos and it felt very much like a cave (grave?). It felt like false advertising. Also there is very little room to place a suitcase or take out any clothes.

I'm sorry that the vacation was not to his liking and you had the feeling of being in a grave. As you can see well from the photographs we have left true and not distorted, the particularity of the apartment is just the real stone, but it is not true that there are no windows: the entrance door window and equipped with a top vasistas window that can be open, there is also another window vasistas that can be opened to have air recirculation, the ceilings are still 4 meters high that for the average of the villages of the Cinque Terre is much more.

Excellent small apartment in great location.
The quaint apartment was in an excellent location and had every amenity you could want. Kitchen was well equipped ( Lorenza even supplied a a couple of days of continental breakfast supplies.). Nice large spotless bathroom, again well supplied. Would definitely stay again, perfect for a couple and 1 or 2 children. Grazie mille, Lorenza.

Perfect location in Cinque Terre
Small but extremely well equipped apartment, only metres from the harbour and a short easy walk from the train station. No water views but in a quiet side street. Clean and comfortable and perfect for a couple staying in Vernazza for a few days.

Horrible Experience - Never Return To This Place or Deal With This Host
This place was not an enjoyable place to stay in. We traveled all over Italy and other countries and had much more enjoyable places that we stayed at. We had met new friends and they were always telling us about how they stayed somewhere else in Vernazza where others were helpful and made their stay so enjoyable that they extended their trip. I wanted to shorten our trip. We are a family of four that stayed there and this place is not fit for four, much less for two. In short, Cantina means one door, so no windows and in this case you are getting noisy upstairs people, construction in the front you will not be pre-warned about. It is close to everything so much so, you will not be able to sleep with all the noise and I am a heavy sleeper. What is also not shown in these pictures is the air conditioner is a movable machine right at the door that has a plastic hose connected to the door, as soon as you walk in, you will bump into it and it has another hose that disposes water in a bucket that you have to dump out after every couple of hours of use. The sleeper sofa which is not already left opened for you with a family of four, when opened, you have no walking room, you have to almost jump over it to get in and out of the CANtina. We asked for something that was missing from the apartment and someone came in to deliver it two days later while we were not there. We felt violated. The picture looming in the apartment scared my children and we are museum goers. The towels given are thin and you might not know they are towels as they resemble thin cheap tablecloths. There is nothing for you to step on when you come out of the shower. There is absolutely no space for you to hang your things, or drawers and their is so much things already in the small CANtina. It is not the cleanest place and smells bad. No wonder it was on the lower price end and the only place available for last minute booking when we planned our trip for four days. CT was nice, though this place and host, I would not return to and regretted our stay here like a bad nightmare. We will not return even if it is the cheapest or the last place to rent.

I'm very sorry for your review because there is nothing true, all other 5-star reviews prove it. It has never happened to me to have guests like your family, who left the apartment dirty and ruined in some furniture (I found urine on the floor and ruined sofa, stained towels not usable for other guests). Reasons for which I requested an extra cost for final cleaning (while I could keep the full amount deposit damage). Also you have not had respect even for people who live close to what I was told because you used the street as if it were only yours, Vernazza is a small village and as all world knows the streets are small and the houses very close. You threatened me through messages that I wanted to publish this false review if I had not withdrawn my claim, I'm sorry for you but I'm not afraid of your threats, I have proofs through your blackmail messages and I have the photos of the state in which I found the apartment, I'm sorry I can not publish them here.

Great location and charming apartment
This was on a great location with easy access to restaurants and transportation (train and ferries). The owner was very responsive and thoughtfully left a breakfast basket. Would definitely recommend. It took us a little bit to figure out the appliances and shower, but we will be ready the next time.
