My Victoria Motel room was booked two days before Saturday June 13, 2026 graduation day at UC Santa Barbara - it was cost prohibitive to stay at the downtown lodgings in Santa Barbara over ~$900/night Better price in Ventura! Worth the drive and freeway close so it was easy access after a long day for travel and graduation celebration - Victoria rooms are older and the beds and linen are clean/no bugs sighted- We were only staying one night so it was greatly appreciated that room was under $165 for 2 adults Ever-Virgin Mother of God Most Powerful, thank you for your most precious and protective intervention to keep us safe! Memorare offered for those reading this review Today’s date Sunday June 14, 2026 11th Sunday Ordinary Time

Ultimately, you get what you pay for. In my opiniin, some prior reviews were not accurate. The shower, sink/ciunter, and toilet were clean, but the room I stayed in is in need of renovation. While the sheets and towels were also clean, the linens were very old and way past the point of needing to be replaced. The bed was OK, but the pillows were very flat. The room felt a bit grungy and could use a deep clean, in the very least. The best part: the staff (probably live-in owners) were very kind, helpful and accommodating. It was a place to sleep, but not as nice as was portrayed by prior "reviews".

This property is also a rent by the week motel. The owners were friendly. The motel itself is very run-down. While the price was cheaper, I would not stay here again.

The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. But...Cosmetically the place is bad. A lot of marks on the interior and exterior walls. They could remedy this with a fresh coat of paint on the inside and updated paint on the outside. Dirty walkways and chipped walkways need attention.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got extra towels and wash cloths right away. When we pulled up it looked very unsafe and dirty, druggies hanging around, and one of the bottom rooms were completely destroyed by a car crashing into it. Carpet in room was very dirty and sheets had yellow stains on them.

Fantastic service but the MOLD!

The people who work there are very kind. The microwave and fridge work great! But the place needs a face lift and there is a strong odor of mold. The carpet is saturated in nasty black stains. The shower is stained with mold. For the price it’s fine.

The property feels neglected. The railings to the second floor are rusted and hideous--albeit safe. Stairs are a bit uneven. In the fairly comfortable room I had to deal with both the shower and sink with faucet handles that were over-tightened and difficult to turn. My shower curtain was torn, worn and moldy. Towels were gray and tattered. On the plus side the room was fairly clean and the television was new.

Victoria motel is an exceptionally clean very basic motel. Comfortable beds and clean linens. Supply of towels was low and towels scratchy. Refrigerator and microwave, but no cups and no coffee available. When cups and towels were requested they were provided. Manager was very friendly and attentive. A printed channel guide for the TV would have been appreciated. Dresser in room missing a knob, but good size. Externally this motel needs some work - railings on steps are slanted and surface worn. Very convenient location. Overall we were comfortable. This is an economical place to stay and has the basics covered. If looking for upscale, this wouldn't be your choice. I thank our host for making our stay a comfortable one..
