The Arabella House - Charmed Victorian in Historic Downtown Ventura
Our 1882 Victorian is located just blocks from the beach and historic downtown Ventura.
Stroll to the pier, local eateries, boutiques, bars, the Farmer's Market and cultural treasures including the Majestic Ventura Theater and the Rubicon. Or simply unfurl on the front porch with a good book.
Located 1.1 miles from the Ventura Fairgrounds, the Arabella includes 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms outfitted with luxury beds , 2 parlors, dining room, and service kitchen to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.
Our Main Street location means the bells of City Hall, a distant train and the hum of downtown make up the soundtrack during your stay. It also means an array of delicious eateries, bars, beaches, Patagonia's flagship store and cultural spaces are all truly within walking, rolling or cycling distance. Enjoy the Ventura Pier, San Buena Ventura Mission, Ventura County Museum, Rubicon Theatre and downtown Ventura.
Outfitted with a television, game boards, books and directions to our favorite local spots we invite you to escape the 24-hour news cycle, unplug and unwind in our Victorian treasure.
Come park your car and spend your holiday exploring our seaside town on foot or take a day jaunt to nearby Santa Barbara and Ojai - just a 30minute car ride ... Or ferry out to explore the Channel Islands.
Off-street parking for two cars per stay in addition to street parking. Complimentary Wifi and laundry facilities.
Please note, the basic service kitchen includes an original 1880s stovetop with a petite oven, farm sink, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave along with pots, pans, serving ware and a few pantry basics however the oven is small and will not accommodate large poultry or large pizzas.
Guests have exclusive use of the entire house, front porch, front yard and back patio however the rear yard incudes a studio that may or may not be rented during your stay.

We were a group of adults and two children, mostly family, for a weekend stay. The house is even more beautiful than it appears on the web: large rooms, high ceilings, nicely decorated, fabulous and enormous bathrooms with especially great showers, comfy beds, windows everywhere, charming front porch, comfortable back-patio seating. Easy walk to a lively downtown, just far enough away that there was no noise issue. Walk to the beach, even with two kids, was quick and rewarding.
Can't say enough good things. Didn't want to leave.
We did not use the stove, but everything else in the kitchen was fine, lots of dishes and glasses available. The washer/dryer worked fine.
The host was very responsive to our one minor issue, calling me within a minute or two of my query, and settling the problem immediately.
We expect to have reasons to return to the area (family member at UCSB, close enough), and we will try very hard to book this house again.

A beautiful, spacious property in a great location. Perfect for a larger family or multiole couplesbtravelimg together. Elizaberh is a thoughtful, accommodatimg host.
My daughters and I loved our stay at Arabella for one of their wedding's weekend. The vintage charm but with all the modern amenities was just perfect for our comfort but also great pre-wedding photos!! Elizabeth was a gem and went over and above to be sure this busy weekend went off like a charm. The proximity to the activity on Main Street was a plus...close enough for a short walk but a block or two off the busy area to enjoy the quiet.
What an amazing place! A gorgeous Victorian beautifully renovated with all the modern luxuries you’d want but that still manages to retain charm and character. Extremely comfortable beds and fantastic bathrooms/showers. Three blocks from all of the Main Street restaurants/bars etc. but extremely quiet.
