Other Side of Realto Bridge

Excellent clean .. fresh air more spacious than main area of Venice. Restaurant neaby ..offered gluten free..one of best food experiences in Italy

Grifoni is excellent hotel choice

Excellent location across from grocery store and just down street from great restaurants; quite easy to get to major tourist areas on foot yet in a quiet neighborhood; room I had was attractive and well maintained, with makeup service every day and sweet lady who never failed to offer coffee in AM; received contradictory check-in instructions, but easily and quickly resolved matters via email; highy recommended if you do not need fridge, microwave, coffee/tea in room

San Polo Gem

Our Google Maps directions weren't easy to follow, so we ended up hiring a hotel porter to take us and our bags from the train station to the room. It cost $30 but was totally worth it just to not have to carry our bags up and down multiple sets of stairs! This is a beautiful boutique hotel in San Polo. The linens are nice and the room is clean and comfortable. We didn't realize breakfast wasn't included, so be sure you ask ahead of booking. There's a great lunch/dinner restaurant just outside and to the right, and there are many places serving pastries for breakfast along the way into Venice. I was worried that staying in San Polo would put us too far from St. Mark's Square, but it's not a log walk to the heart of Venice. We were happy with our room and would stay here again.

Nice convenient location

Clean comfortable room in oldest part of Venice- San Polo area. Central to many things. Very easy entrance to building and room with access codes. Good wifi. Nice continental style breakfast. Convenient grocery store right in front😀
