About this property
Historic 14th century Luxury Apartment
Historic apartment of the XIV century, recently renovated and furnished in Venetian style, with exposed beams and Murano glass chandeliers.
The apartment, called Ca 'Ai Putti (House of Cherubini ), located on the first floor in the Dorsoduro district (20 steps), can comfortably accommodate 6/8 guests, with its 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , kitchen and large living / dining room. All spaces have been decorated in Venetian style, the polished wooden floors make the house warm and cozy, as well as high ceilings with wooden beams and period features Venetian Gothic windows.
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to accommodate large groups. The bedrooms, each of a different color, is bright and spacious and expertly coordinated style ' Rococo '. Throughout the house you can admire the splendid chandeliers in Murano glass, which give shine and lavishness. The two bathrooms, one with shower and washing machine and the other with the pond, there are close to two of the three bedrooms. The apartment is decorated in Venetian style, with Murano chandeliers and colorful fabric wallpaper on the walls.
The apartment is about 300 meters from the Cà Rezzonico ferry stop. Very easy to reach both from Venice Santa Lucia train station (ferry line 1) and from Venice Marco Polo Airport (Orange Alilaguna ferry).
It is located in a quiet area of Venice, in the Dorsoduro district, in one of the most beautiful 'calle', very close to several restaurants and bars. Dorsoduro boasts a rich presence, second only to the sestiere of San Marco, of churches, palaces and museums.
Right in the center of the sestiere we find Campo Santa Margherita, a space very popular with young university students and tourists, considered one of the most lively places in the city. It is the ideal place if you want to stop and try the "spritz", an alcoholic aperitif prepared with prosecco, aperol (bitter) and sparkling water. At night the Campo is one of the places most frequented by young people, who consider it a meeting place for the Venetian nightlife.
A walk along the Fondamenta Zattere is highly recommended, which will allow you to enjoy a very suggestive view of the Giudecca Canal. In spring-summer it becomes one of the most popular places to walk, thanks also to the rich presence along the Fondamenta of bars, ice-cream parlors and restaurants.
The Zattere and Accademia area is also considered one of the most exclusive in the city as it contains within it the rare examples of modern residential architecture. 300 meters from the Cà Rezzonico ferry stop; you can reach all points of interest (Piazza San Marco - 10 min, Rialto Bridge - 10 min, Architecture Biennale, La Fenice Theater ..).
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with a "small welcome basket" with Italian products and the booking will send you via email a guide of Venice.

Thoroughly enjoyed this apartment and our stay in Venice. Clean, comfortable, with a very good location. Worked great for our large (7 people, 3 generations) group. Added plus: it was very, very hot outside but the A/C kept us comfortable.
Great home close enough to walk to St. Mark’s Square but far enough from the tourist crowds. Local market is just a short walk for food and other essentials. Great food, gondola rides nearby. Comfortable beds. Perfect for family and friends. I highly recommend!
We brought our daughter her husband and 3 grandchildren. The apartment is beautiful and was comfortable and convenient. Our host was extremely nice and very helpful. We’d come ba k.
The apartment was spacious and well appointed as depicted in the photos. The check in process was smooth and very well communicated with meeting at the vaporetto stop. It was a relatively short walk from the train and also easily accessible via vaporetto. A lovely area and convenient to the sites.
The location of the apartment is really perfect--a quiet neighborhood but very close to everything. We loved shopping at the fruit & veg boat and visiting the local cafes. Lots of great restaurants to choose from right nearby. The apartment is so elegant and beautifully restored and furnished--felt like stepping into a time machine. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms great. A perfect trip. Would happily return!
The pictures displayed on the website for this property are accurate, however, they don’t do it justice.
This apartment has elegant appointments. It is a visual representation of a time that has passed. Upon entering, it is apparent that the property is well loved and cared for. The walls have elegant coverings. The furnishings are a throwback to an earlier time and are meant to make guests comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and accommodating. The location is central to most amusements that are desired by visitors. Restaurants and shops are a short walk from the property. Not too far away my husband found my new favorite pistachio croissant and Americano coffee!
Our group truly enjoyed the property and location. The only downside, however, was the smells and noise from a restaurant located nearby. We compensated by indulging in more local wine.
We were able to find our way to all sites using iPhone maps, and avoiding Google maps, which did not work well.
The apartment itself was luxurious – silk lined walls in the principal rooms with chandeliers and the well colour-coordinated furnishings and walls– and the kitchen and bathrooms modern and clean.so all of that was positive.
And its situated on a quiet calle leading to a friendly campo with restaurants and shops and cafes and near a vaporetto stop so all that is good.
But against that there were problems – these include a complete lack of any visitor welcome from the host; no checking in with us that all was OK; no local information eg shopping, chemist, etc; and we had difficulties getting the heating right. Not much of a view either except from one side of the living room.
On top of all that :
-a very slippery floor in the shower of one of the bathrooms which caused a nasty slip for a family member and a badly cut foot.
-the promotion of the apartment on the VRBO site doesn’t say the apartment is situated over a sushi restaurant with an outdoor area immediately below the one of the bedrooms.
-the stairs leading up to the apartment from the entrance are covered with plaster dust and grit falling from the damp walls
-very difficult to get the keys to work on both the main entrance and the apartment doors
- on our return home we received seven texts from the owner accusing us of breaking a loo-roll holder and asking us to pay for this damage – but we did not break this item
We thought the apartment was somewhat overpriced
We loved staying here, away from the hustle and bustle of St. Mark’s, but still conveniently located. The apartment was beautiful and easy to get to from the vaporetto stop. It was the perfect size for our group and everything we needed was provided, so we had no reason to contact our host. We would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was absolutely beautiful and the location was excellent. Lovely furnishings gave the apartment a regal ambience and brought the splendor of Venice to our stay. Close to restaurants and water bus stops. Check in and communication were seamless. The apartment was very clean. The only issue for us was that the AC units did not sufficiently cool the apartment. It was exceptionally hot in Venice during our stay, but even with both units running we were sweating in bed and the children were cranky.
Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood. Approximately 20 minute walk to St Mark’s Square. Beautifully decorated with a well stocked kitchen. Air conditioning and wifi work well, although both sometimes had trouble reaching the back bedrooms. So close to vaporetto station, which was incredibly convenient. Would highly recommend this property!!!!

Amazing stay!
From the moment Scilla greeted us we knew this was going to be a great stay! The neighborhood is fantastic. So many wonderful shops and restaurants, it’s hard to choose. The apartment is spectacular! Everything you need to feel at home is there. We felt very well taken care of when we were shown around the apartment by Scilla and she gave us a lovely treat to eat and wine.everything about this stay was perfect . Scilla is the most gracious and accommodating host!

Wonderful
Next time I go to Venice I will stay in this apartment. Absolutely magnificent, very well decorated, spotless, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed.
Scilla is lovely and will explain everything well, and even gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant, which we enjoyed very much.
Don't look any further I absolutely recommend it.

Great apartment
We were in this apartment for one week in April. Great apartment with 3 sleeping rooms, two bath rooms (both with shower), smaller kitchen and big living room. In the middle of Dorsoduro and only 5-7 min away from the ferry stations Ca'Rezzonico or Zattere. Some nice restaurants are not far away (10 seconds - 3 minutes).
Thanks for the good time in the apartment!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the location and home of Scillia’s. They were kind enough to give us lots of recommendations leading into our trip and meeting us to walk us to the apartment. The apartment is gorgeous; well appointed and within walking distance of two beautiful squares. We do wish the air conditioning was stronger during the heat wave as the rooms stayed hot for sleep. Otherwise, fantastic!

May & Group
The best property manager / owner ever, Scilla met us at the bus stations, escorted us to the actual apartment, welcome us with pastries and fresh flower in the dinning room. The large apartment is very traditionally decorated in Venetian style throughout , the ceiling is about 14 feet high, the apartment is very clean, it is very conveniently and centrally located, it does have WIFI, and washer, and a nice size kitchen. Love the apartment.

Perfect !!!
Everything was great beginning to end. All communications leading up to the trip were prompt and helpful. The hostess met us at the vaporetto and did a great job showing us all the details of the apartment. She even had fresh flowers and snacks waiting. Perfect after a long days journey. The apartment was larger then expected and very comfortable. The neighborhood was great with everything we needed close by. Thank you !!!!!
On a side note... I tip my hat to whoever did the renovations. Excellent workmanship.

Wonderful Venice apartment
4 of us recently stayed in this beautiful, well maintained apartment in Dorsoduro. We were met at the vaporetto stop as arranged through email by Scilla and taken to our apartment. It was only a few minutes walk past a bustling square but on a very quiet street. There was a wonderful book of instructions and recommendations that she had put together for anyone staying in the flat. We had requested 2 sets of keys which she provided and a welcoming "package" in the kitchen of wine and snacks.
The 3 bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for cooking in if you desire, and all other rooms were as described. It was very quiet at night for sleeping.
The location couldn't be better. Dorsoduro is away from the tourist crowds but close to all the sites by either walking or taking the water transport. It feels like a real neighborhood. It has wonderful restaurants, the Venice jazz club, the Peggy Guggenheim museum, etc within a short walk.
This is the third apartment we stayed in in Italy on this trip and it was clearly the best. It provided all the amenities as advertised and Scilla was a terrific and responsive host.
I could not imagine a better place to stay in Venice.

In one word....Perfecto!
From the moment I made the first inquiry, the entire process was five star! Scilla, the absolutely best host made me feel safe, secure and confident about by vacation rental. Her immediate responses to my emails with answers to my numerous questions were welcomed and appreciated. She was waited for us at the Vaporetto Stop with holiday goodies and more in the fridge. The apartment was like a small palace. The Venetian decor made us feel like we were staying in a 5 Star hotel. Best of all, the place had everything, I mean everything you would ever need...it felt like home ONLY better because it was Venice. The amenities are overwhelming lovely including wifi, dishwashers, heated floors and gorgeous bathrooms. The linens were fine and we wanted for nothing while we where there. We could also enjoy the books about Venice left for us to read and review. The apartment provides a book summarizing everything you need to know simply better than all the travel books I read about Venice. Scilla helped with our transportation back to the airport and even called to confirm our reservation and pick up. I have never felt so cared for while renting a vacation property. My only regret is that we did not stay long enough...I am already planning my next trip. All I can say is thank you and let them know how grateful I am for making our trip to Venice so memorable.
This was a stunning apartment, well equipped, meticulously clean in a non-touristy area. Great restaurants nearby, easy walk to the Zattere. We were sad to go but hope to return someday.
