This comfortable and renovated apartment is located along the \"Rio dei Carmini\" Canal. From this position you will enjoy the panorama of Giudecca island and immerse yourself in the magical Venice atmosphere!



It is located in Sestiere Dorsoduro, famous for the presence of the Cà Foscari University and IUAV, the University of Architecture and Design. This Sestiere is attended by young people and it is close to the city centre and the touristic sites.



The apartment is very spacious and located in a renovated Venetian building with a lift and a small garden; modern design in a classic environment!



The apartment is well equipped with everything you need: floor heating and cooling system, sheets and towels, WI-FI and TV. It is composed with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room with kitchenette, table and chairs, sofa. There is also a balcony at your disposal to admire Venice! It is ideal for 4 people, friends, couples or family.

All around the district you find restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and all you need for your stay. Dorsoduro boasts a rich presence of museums, churches and palaces.

A famous centre is Campo Santa Margherita ( a little square) attended by university students and tourists for its bars and “bacari” (little taverns) to enjoy the nightlife, too.

You cannot miss a leisurely stroll along Fondamenta Zattere to admire the panorama of the Giudecca Canal. Furthermore, in 5 minutes by foot you can reach Accademia Galleries and take pictures from the well known Accademia bridge.

Apartment was great with fantastic location. Enjoyed our stay. The one critique we had is that the dryer didn't seem to be working, but that was a minor issue and didn't affect our stay at all.

This apartment was wonderful! It was super clean and a place you felt like you could actually live there. The host was so patient in helping us when we had questions. We were two 65 yr old ladies and always felt safe in an area that let you feel what Venice is really like. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Thomas did a great job in communicating!If I were to be picky, they didn’t replace the paper towels in the kitchen from the last group that stayed, so we had to buy our own. Lastly, it was pretty warm during sleeping, but I never contacted Thomas to see if he could lower that cooling thermostat, so that is my fault.The VRBO was very nice, and we took advantage of sitting outside on the balcony, which was right over the canal.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

Great Venice Apartment

This was a great spot from which to explore Venice-away from the crowds yet still steps away from lots of great restaurants and the rest. Thomas was super helpful and very responsive. Would love to come back again

Great place and location

Property was as described. The quiet part of town, which was lovely. Nice town plaza with plenty of excellent food options. The apt held 4 adults comfortably. Loved the balcony and view of the canal and Venice.

Very modern apartment in “original” Venice

We loved the modern and super stylish apartment. Perfect for a family of 4. Lively and not over-touristy Campo Santa Margherita just around the corner, with restaurants, bars, shops - and kids playing football at the campo. Peggy Guggenheim Collection 15 minutes walk. Most lovely side of Venice!

Luxurious comfort

We (family of 3 including a teen) did not want to leave the apartment. Waking up to the distant church bell and enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony are amongst my favorite moments. Highly recommended for those who want the convenience but not fighting the flood of tourists, this is th replace for you. Check in was easy and clear instructions. We’ll hopefully be back soon.

Italian Hideaway

We loved our stay. We selected this apartment because of its proximity to main attractions, however it was far enough away to feel “local” and escape the large tourist crowds at the end of the day. Thomas was incredibly responsive to messages and reached out to us after our first day to check-in on us. If we ever return to Italy, we would book this location again.

Very comfortable and quiet place

This apartment was quite comfortable and as advertised. We were happy to be away from the throngs of tourists, but not too far from the things we wanted to see. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well which are key things for me. Thomas was very responsive to our needs.

Lovely apartment

It was a lovely apartment with a great balcony and location, only issue was the shower door doesn’t shut properly so the floor got very wet. Overall though I’d strongly recommend the property

First Stop of Our Vacation

We stayed in this unit with my brother and sister-in-law. We arrived at the unit via water taxi from the airport. The unit was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store and water transportation away from the busy tourist area. Our balcony view of the canal was gorgeous. We enjoyed maneuvering through Venice on foot and water buses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice place with balcony overlooking the canal. No AC for our stay and the dryer didn't work. Most place in Italy don't have dryers so not a big deal. Convenient location and away from tourist central. Easy access to transportation. I recommend this VRBO if you are visiting Venice!

Recent Venice trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our location for our Venice trip and first time to Italy. It was very easy to navigate, the airport water taxi took us right to our front door, and everything was an easy walking distance even with 2 80 year olds. We did have a little bit of trouble with the downstairs showerhead leaking on the floor but we communicated what we could with the owner and went about our stay. The location was super safe, and the view from the balcony was lovely and we found everything we needed nearby. Walking back-and-forth at night with a breeze and we felt very safe. Great overall experience!

Good location, nice balcony

Apartment was clean - modern decor. Very precise videos and step-by-step directions to get there. Host responsive by What's App/VRBO, but not phone. Bedrooms are upstairs. Bathrooms are very nice. Didn't cook, so not sure about completeness of pots and pans. Some condiments available. Nice, small balcony overlooking the canal. Struggled with cooling thermostat- couldn't get it to lower, so for us, sleeping was too warm. Host was responsive to try to adjust, but we never accomplished it. Would book again if cooling could be better adjusted.

Great location, but shower issues

We absolutely loved the location (quiet, not too touristy but still close to everything, near a cute square with restaurants n gelato place), the layout of the apartment and having a washer and great AC. But a few things that keep this from being 5 stars - a leaking downstairs shower (a simple fix because it results from 2 corner doors not meeting up correctly), no furniture on the outdoor patio, no detergent or instructions with the washing machine (I googled it). The owner was very responsive to my texts but not super helpful (there’s a store where I can buy my own detergent) (point the shower head away from the corner) - I really loved this property otherwise - I would still recommending staying there as these were all minor issues - it just has such potential to be absolutely perfect

Great Location with some Unfortunate Issues

Place was mostly clean, spacious, and in a great location. Beds were comfortable and our 2 young children enjoyed their time there. Also, the nearby Campo Santa Margherita had great food and was less than a 5 min walk! However, we did have a few issues during our stay. First, the dryer never worked for us. It would run overnight yet still come out wet. The host was responsive via email and sent a technician, but it still didn't work for us. The internet was slow and also stopped working for a few days (didn't help with the int'l roaming costs). And finally, we didn't even use the downstairs shower. @e would occasionally get a bad odor from it and it looked like there was mold in some of the corners.

Accommodation in Venice

The property was what I had expected. It was very comfortable and the location was further than I anticipated but I found the vaporetto was only a 3 min walk and the Piazza St. Marguerite had all the stores we needed for supplies; plus restaurants. There were a few problems. The owner was unreachable by telephone. He stated in another review that his phone number was on the paperwork--it was not. We emailed him about a stopped up sink and he said a handyman would come the next day and fix it. No one came. We were three adults and we asked for more than six towels, never responded. We asked for more hangers, there were only six in the apartment. Never responded. The most important is that I have not received our deposit back as yet. He told me he posted it 3 days after our return. Cleanliness was another problem. The bottom shower had mildew and leaked all over the floor The walls needed to be washed and the clothes cabinets needed to be dusted. It is a shame because the apartment and complex was very nice, quiet and convenient.

Great location but has a few issues.

Overall, this was a decent stay. The location is great as it is close but not in the heart of all the tourism. There is a nice square very close by with pizza, gelato, and restaurant. There is also a water bus stop very close as well. The check in process was fairly easy but a little hard to find if you’re not familiar with Venice. The apartment itself has two big needs: a little facelift and a good deep clean. The apartment seemed a bit cluttered and unintentional in the decor. There is random stuff everywhere in the drawers and closets. The walls are in desperate need of paint as there is a bunch of scuffs and marks everywhere. Just sitting around in the place feels like you are sitting in a rundown place. At a surface look, everything looks pretty clean, but look a little closer and it is not. Some of the dishes were dirty in the cabinet, the refrigerator still had crumbs and such from previous guests, the bathrooms had hair left around, etc. The second bedroom had a storage that had not been cleaned in months—actually disgusting with hair and other nastiness. Just needs a professional deep clean and then maintained after. The water heater was not turned on so no hot showers on the first day. There was a loud and almost constant squeak coming from the laundry closet. All-in-all, it wasn’t a terrible stay but it was not the best stay of our Italy trip either. Next time we are in Venice, we will find a new place to stay.
