"Good hotel with large family rooms. Very nice foyer and breakfast area. Also very close to train station, metro and trams plus about 30 min walk to old town along the river. Playground opposite hotel and shops close by also. "

The bed was comfortable, but the building is in serious disrepair: curtains hanging off the rails, broken ceiling panels, peeling paint, loose bathroom tiles, and heavily worn carpets in the hallways. "Very nice new hotel near the railway station and a large shopping mall. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and calling a taxi. The room was really nice and comfortable. Perfect place for a brief stay in Lyon on our way back to Paris from Chamonix. "

Our room facing the river with roadway in between was surprisingly quiet due to double windows.
Rooftop restaurant (Les 3 Domes) was very impressive with floor to ceiling glass and impressive views of the old city, the river, and the newer city. Mid-century deluxe decor.
Very good food and we enjoyed dinner there twice.
Location is excellent with the luxury Intercontinental hotel and "Grand Dome" complex 1 block away. The main pedestrian shopping zone is 2 blocks away and is great for people watching and shopping. Restaurants are all around the pedestrian zone offering a wide range of choices within walking distance.We were able to spend 3 nights there while only walking.
Parking isn't cheap (about Eu30 night) but the valet parking garage under the hotel is extremely convenient and safe.
In summary we would certainly stay in this hotel on our next vist. It offers a near perfect balance of convenience, quality, and value.
