"We were the first to rent this property and it did not disappoint! The pictures are exactly as they are in real life, though there is now a shade over the pool to keep it nice and cold throughout the day. The stairs are very steep inside, especially to the downstairs with low headroom but it makes it fun and adds to the uniqueness of the property! There is plenty of parking but be warned the hill going up to the house is very steep and narrow, it gets easier after going up and down a time or...

"We had a great time for a Father's day trip. We enjoy camping and I was really happy to have so many amenities like the easy to use grills, nice showers and restrooms, and the ability to bring our dogs with us, that made it more like glamping! The landscape is extremely beautiful and as someone who likes birdwatching we saw and heard some cool birds while there, including a roadrunner. We stayed in the rv, which was very spacious and had everything I forgot to pack, like a spatula. Our hosts were very sweet, friendly, and helpful and I would love to return. There is a lot to do nearby, and it is very close to Garner, and we booked a day pass in advance since they sometimes fill up, and spent time by the river. "

Great House with Private River Access

"We liked that the house wasn’t directly near other properties. You could hear a neighbor in the distance periodically but the house itself was secluded. My family enjoyed all the birdhouses around the house and particularly the many hummingbirds. River access was nice. We saw one other group about 50 yards down the river on the first day of arrival but after that, we had it to ourselves. The access to the house and river was steep but we walked it many times with no issues or took a vehicle down. We loved that the access was super easy to get to compared to other houses we have stayed at. My kids liked that there was a large shallow spot to hunt fish and then also a deeper area for swimming. They swam to a small waterfall upriver. There is a flat area next to the river where our pop up canopy sat perfectly. We liked that the house had the master bedroom across the house so if the kids crashed early and we were still awake, it didn’t disturb them. All my kids slept on either the Murphy bed or crashed on the couches in the living room even though there was another room available. They treated it like a bunk room for them. House was spacious and liked that it had multiple bathrooms. Plenty of games were available for the kids. Kitchen had all the appropriate cookware for our needs. My family enjoys hiking so this was the perfect spot as it’s about 5 minutes from Lost Maples park. Leakey was a short scenic drive and we did lunch there one day. We will definitely return!!! "
