Utopia River Retreat is a secluded paradise nestled along the Sabinal River in the Texas Hill Country.

Situated on a bluff above the river, Tomahawk equals the largest of our one-bedroom cabins. It boasts a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Situated amongst our massive oak trees you won't find a better place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Utopia River Retreat is a 12-acre estate where you can relax in one of 9 cozy cabins or the historic home known as the Fortress. Enjoy views of the Sabinal River, centuries-old cypress & oak trees as well as the native wildlife. You will find enchantment with each visit. Our event spaces have played host to weddings, family reunions and numerous other events.

utopia river retreat

We stayed there for a night with our 2 dogs to go to lost maples state park. We had a comfortable nights sleep and the cabin was very cozy.

Quiet weekend getaway

Well the Sabinal used to run through the property but that's not their fault it dried up. Anyway, the pool was nice and the Tomahawk was a perfect little place for a weekend away from the city. My pup also enjoyed his stay with the wide open area and birds to watch. We enjoyed grilling our food outback during dinner time, and drinking our coffee on the back porch in the morning.

The cabin was more than what we were expecting. Very clean and beautiful surrounding. Loved having morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs. Will be back again!
