The room and guest house had all the comforts of home, even lots of beautiful plants! The host was very welcoming and helpful too. Would definitely stay again.

Not so cozy. No restaurants around.
Basically just a bed and a shared bath. Nothing very cozy about it. Close to the subway line for getting around. BUT there are no restaurants around - have to eat somewhere else. And, it's very difficult to get to the place - you have to walk along a dirt path next to a high-walled fence and dodge bushes.

There was a caretaker Elena living at the property, she was pleasant and kept the place clean and showed us around the place even though we arrived late. Maria the owner was very accomodating and was there to check us out. Would definitely recommend.

I had no direct contact with the rental. I contacted Expedia within 15 min of making my reservation for my sister and me to cancel. I asked for confirmation and received none. Continued to get information that we were expected.

Call and plan the time of the arrival. I was confused where the entrance was but luckily I found some service to cal and they came to the entrance within 5 mins. After that everything was beautiful.

This is the first time I booked an airbnb type of stay on orbitz.com. it's great. The place is in a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Queen Elizabeth park and a few minutes drive to downtown. Maria is nice and very helpful. We feel comfortable during the stay. We will come back next time visiting Vancouver.

Terrible experience. When I arrived, host told me I she can not give me the room I booked because bathroom is not functioning. There was no communication about that prior to my arrival. Instead, she suggested a room in the basement. I refused, then she gave me a room in another guest house, twice smaller with very small shower. There was no hot water in the shower, just barely warm. When I told about my concern, I was told I have to be happy with what I have. Trash in the kitchen was not taken out for long time. When I asked the host to empty the trash , she told me cleaning lady has to come. But for now, be happy with what you have. I booked for 4 nights, but left after one night.

Hello Ekaterina, Thank you for your review. You came earlier than the check in time which is at 3pm. There were workmen who were fixing one of the bathrooms when you came. You mentioned that a shower was very important to you. You refused a room on the lower level when offered. We tried our best to accommodate you so you will have a nice stay with us. As you had booked a one-person bedroom, we were expecting to only accommodate you for the duration of your stay. Upgrades to larger rooms are available to all of our guests, but, unfortunately, as you had refused to switch to a two-person bedroom and provide us with both of your ids, we were unable to accept your request to add another guest to your stay. Please understand that this was not done to antagonize you, but rather out of concern for the safety of you and all of our guests due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Regards, Miron

The hosts were amazing! They worked with my inconvenient schedule and were readily available. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was being unlucky. The walls are thin and you can hear the next room neighbors fairly well. My next door neighbor seemed to be working as some sort of telemarketer or something and talked off an on again throughout the entire night. My recommendation-Bring earplugs!

Not what I was expecting but it was decent. It’s really not close to much but a walking distance from the train station like 4 blocks away. The bed I slept on was so old and uncomfortable I couldn’t rest. It was clean from what my eyes could see. Would I stay here again? No but I’m thankful for getting something in short notice

We were pretty amazed this property rated over 4 by Exodus and costing over $200 per night did not have it's own ensuite bathroom or aircondioning. We had to share a bathroom with 4 other guests! The room was very small and basic.

When I arrived, Maria was incredibly welcoming and helpfully provided information about the neighbourhood, including coffee shops, stores, parks, and transit. The guest house is very clean, comfortable and quiet. It is also located in a great central location that is close to the skytrain and an express bus route to UBC.

A friendly and helpful host resolved a double booking and took us to an alternative accommodation that generally met our needs better. We were suffering from colds, and our host provided some fruit which was much appreciated. However this place had no functioning bathroom light and the kitchen can opener was useless! Minor matters in the light of the overall experience.
