Valley Center House

We stayed at this house because our daughter was getting married in the area. The actual house was spacious and very nice and comfortable and had beautiful views. There were some drawbacks though. The house is located up on a hill and you have to go up a very steep area to get to the house. Where you park was tight If you have more then one car there and if owners truck is there. The owners live in the downstairs and have about 5 dogs. The first night we stayed I was awakened around 5:00 am by the dogs barking. They continued for about an hour, so I was not able to go back to sleep. They also have an ant problem in the house. We had to keep everything in the fridge. The ants even found our cooler and got into that. Also, some of the faucets are backwards. We took some cold showers before we realized that cold was really hot and vice versa in some of the bathrooms. I’m sorry to say that I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend because the negatives outweighed to positives.

Not for me.

I rented this for my bridal party to spend the night before my wedding and to get ready the next morning, as well as for me and my new husband to spend our first night as husband and wife. When we got to the property it was not up a hill like they said but a mountain and there are 3 different roads to chose from it is not marked clearly. It is so high up a mountain that I chose not to stay there on my wedding night as I new that we would have drinks in us and that it was a very unsafe drive up the mountain. it can only fit one car so if you are going up and a person from the other house is going down you are screwed. Also the person lives in the bottom part of the house which I did not see mentioned when I was looking at the rental online. It was scary knowing they could come up into the part of the house we had. Also the next morning there was a man just walking around the property which also made us all un easy. The house was clean and they did say we could help ourselves to what ever food they had but over all not some place I would rent out or tell friends to rent out either. The view was amazing that was the best part about the whole thing.

Fantastic VBRO rental

This huge beautiful home is located in Valley Center in the vineyard region. The view from the deck is gorgeous. It looks across a large valley to some mountains. The home had everything we needed. The driveway is steep and curvey and quite different than the long driveways we have at home. In fact you might think that you are not even on a driveway, but you are. After using it a couple times it was easy. Parking is tight next to the house so if you have a large SUV you'll need to do some jockeying to get it turned around. The owner lives downstairs and was very friendly. She even gave us fresh tomatoes. If you are ok with the steep driveway, this is a great rental. Great value for what it costs too

We enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful get away in the mountains. The house was so inviting and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner and she was absolutely a joy to talk to, we asked her about her gorgeous property and learned quite some interesting facts, we would stay there again if we ever get the opportunity, thanks to all for such an enjoyable experience

The house is beautiful and is fully stocked. The views are amazing. The property is well maintained and clean. The owner was flexible on our check in time which was very helpful. The only negative is the drive to the house. It is not just a steep driveway in is a road with switchbacks and steep. It is recommended not to try it at night.

beautiful house with a lot of space

House is big and beautiful. The road to the house was steep and parking was not very convenient, if you plan on having a family dinner this is not the place for you. Dogs barking at night but if you chose a different room besides the master king you should be fine. We had 9 people there and it was perfect, if you needed to get away from everyone, there was enough space to do so.

Loved this house!

This house was absolutely amazing! The view was beautiful. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and relax after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I have ever seen. The owner’s dogs are often out on the porch below, but we were never bothered by them. We only heard them bark when we pulled in the driveway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Awesome house!

This house is beautiful! We enjoyed our stay very much. We had plenty of room to relax and spend time together as a family. The kitchen is very well stocked with the right cooking utensils and we enjoyed being able to fix a good breakfast before we headed out for our day. We used the grill one evening as well. The dogs were so well behaved. We never heard them except when we pulled in the driveway. I would highly recommend this rental! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Great views of the mountains and valley below.

This out of the way place has nice views from the main rooms and narrow balcony. Very comfortable rooms and kitchen/eating space. Nice place to get away. We used this as a base to explore the nearby mountains and wineries. The house has cable TV, but lacked WiFi, which would be very helpful. One might find the dogs downstairs to be too loud, but they never bothered us. It would be nice to have access to more of the property outside.
