"Was a very pleasant stay. Carpark is right outside of the hotel. Safe and quiet area. Check in is smooth and hassle free. The front desk Mr Vega, is a gem:) friendly and helpful. Did not have any expectations as it is a stopover for a nite. It is about 15 mins drive to San Sebastián which is not difficult to navigate from the hotel.
Will return again if opportunity allows:) "

"Eider is a wonderful host and this rental is fantastic for large groups. The house is situated on a beautiful rural property a very easy 20 min (max) drive from the stunning San Sebastián, Casco Vieja, La Concha and surrounding beaches. The hosts live on site, and each room is large, has its own lock and key and each room has a private bathroom. There are four rooms with queen sized beds and two rooms with two single beds each, a large dining/seating area, kitchen, washer and dishwasher. There is another portion of the home below that is rented out and technically there is access to the upstairs space, but it felt very safe and still very private (we travelled with children and it was fine). The property is beautiful, with ample outdoor space to enjoy a meal or go for a walk."
"Hotel IJ is a gem of a property deep in Basque country. Set in a gorgeous rural environment atop a small village and surrounded by hills and farms, it is the perfect country getaway. The building is as stunning as the photographs and the rooms have an elegant\ vintage charm to them.
Regarding food, breakfast was our favourite meal with dinners at the cafe being little underwhelming. We never got a chance to try the fine dining option. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.
I want to put a special mention and appreciation for some front desk staff members who went above and beyond to assist me with a concern with my car rental. I was treated unprofessionally by Avis with a car breakdown but the staff helped me with the language barrier and service concern in a foreign country and I really want to thank them for that and look forward to visiting again.

"Oscar speaks no English, but that was NO problem. Very accommodating and funny. We would have spent more time, but schedule did not allow.

"The place is located in a very nice rural property, where you can enjoy nature, but not far from groceries and restaurants and a well located place to travel to the coast. The manager is very nice. The apartment is well equipped and we enjoyed the evening and breakfast on the terrace."
"An amazing location but a bit difficult to find on google and Waze. Luckily we found the signs on the road leading us to our location. Spectacular views even in the rain but when the sun shines it is amazing. Overall the property was great but a few maintenance issues could be addressed with the dishwasher, upstairs shower in particular."
