"The carpet in the room is stained, the drawers were extremely hard to close. The furniture is outdated and shabby. However, the bed was comfortable. The bedding and bathroom was clean and the towels were nice. Also, it's a great location. "

"Stunning Lobby and bar. Check in experience was satisfactory. Room was small with small double bed. Cocktails at the bar were great however the bar experience was disappointing. Along with other residents we had to wait at least 45 minutes in between drinks to be served again at one point having asked for more drinks the server disappeared and forgot us…. we were still expected to pay13.5% service charge. Frustration was clear amongst the people around us. The bar was understaffed and the frustration with this was also apparent amongst them! We gave our feedback on check out about the bar experience, the team member was sympathetic but advised that we should have reported this to the bar staff at the time. This was not appropriate to do at the time as it was difficult enough getting a drink let alone trying to give feedback or refusing to pay a service charge.We were offered a voucher however we were leaving at that moment so declined the offer and just left our feed back. Great location for central London ..just next to Hyde Park "

"We had stayed several Times at Riu Madrid which is an excellent property which we always book even before booking our flights to Spain. However, we had not stayed in any other of their hotels. This time we chose the London property after hating our booked hotel and scrambling to find where to stay. The Riu London did not disappoint. We checked in within an hour of booking it in Expedia and when we got there we were welcomed with open arms. The hotel is spacious with all the amenities you could want, even a Gym and like the one in Madrid, the included breakfast is marvelous. Thanks Riu for saving our vacation. From now on I will search for Riu Hotels wherever I vacation before even entertaining the idea of staying somewhere else. "
