"A fantastic historical hotel, sorounding with beautiful nature. The rooms take you back in time. Tea and coffee facilities provided.We also enjoyed a wholesome breakfast. I would definitely visit again 😊"

"Staying whilst renovating my property. Location of the hotel was out of the way of people's footfall and noise from patronage was minimal. This will be a secret hideaway for a quiet getaway. High maintenance will help futurewise to be an excellent choice in hotel choices. Carpark space is good as long as patrons don't spoil by slamming doors, bright headlights etc."

"I had to leave because the noise was unbearable. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but only stayed for 1 in the end due to the noise. We book a hotel to try and sleep in and relax. However the music from the bar was so loud. The music went on till midnight, then started again at 7am and went on the whole next day, louder at night. I had the TV on loud, and could still not hear it because of the bass/music coming from the bar. Plus the banging from the corridor of doors, especially from the cleaners early on. Then walking out to the car park where everyone is smoking illegal substances. Did not feel comfortable or relaxed the whole time. Very disappointed."

"Our family stayed for three days for christmas and overall, had a good experience.From the outset, communication with the host was strong, messages were clear and timely, and they made a genuine effort to resolve issues when they arose. The house was generally quite clean on arrival, felt family-friendly, and being pet friendly was a real bonus for us. Location-wise it was very convenient, close to amenities like Asda and petrol stations, and with quick access to the M6. The property also had the basic facilities and household equipment needed for a short stay, which made day-to-day routines straightforward.That said, the home would really benefit from a bit more maintenance and a refresh in places. A few items were showing wear and tear or were partially damaged, for example the fridge freezer was dented and had a broken shelf, the cooker caused the fuse box switch to trip and the oven door handle was broken, and there were various smaller maintenance points like shelves, shower door handles, and some wallpaper needing attention. The TV remote was not working properly and missing back cover. We also found the washer dryer did not wash properly, which was inconvenient over a family stay.Despite those issues, the host’s responsiveness and willingness to help made a difference, and the property’s cleanliness, practicality, and excellent location worked well for our needs. With some focused repairs and preventative maintenance, this could easily be a great place to stay."
