We are a family of 4 (kids 12 and 15) and we LOVED our stay for a number of reasons.
Due to airport closure (thanks to the volcano eruption) we arrived 6 hrs late at 3am. The staff were very friendly and two helped us down to our rooms.
We were happy to find two adjacent rooms set our for us with connection via the balconies. One with King and the other had two singles, both with their own bathrooms and balconies.
The hotel location was perfect for us. Out of Ubud center, but only a 15-20min walk away past the local supermarket (Bintang Market) full of groceries, drinks, local sim cards and upstairs was full of local tourism nicknacks.
There are some GREAT restaurants within a 5-10 min walk such as The Elephant, the recently opened Dumbo (great coffee) and Warung Pulau Kelapa (great Indonesian).
The 3 pools meant we always found a quiet spot to hang and the breakfast was lovely with freshly cooked omelets (our sons favorite) and a nice selection of fresh fruit.
The staff were lovely and we couldn't speak more highly of room cleaner Wyan who made our room sparkle daily with beautiful flower arrangements on the bed :) Also super friendly whenever he spied us on the grounds.
For the money this place is excellent. While you can find higher level resorts in Ubud, we would go back here in a second and it seems we are not the only ones to feel this way as we met a number of others there who told us they go there yearly. What more can we say?
