"The room was small but comfortable and service was good. Breakfast was excellent but the one lady on duty was overstretched - at least two were needed to clear tables, keep food and juices topped up etc."

"This hotel has seen better days… the location is great but the rooms need a serious upgrade. The carpets desperately need to be replaced. The mattress was so used and worn that it almost folded like a taco when laying on it. Super noisy from people walking upstairs and slamming doors, and a cleaner vacuuming in the morning banged on the wall of my room a few times. There were mysterious drips and stains on the walls. Everything just felt really gross and grim and I’m glad I was only here for three nights as I didn’t sleep well at all. The staff were friendly though and the foyer is nice looking, I can tell it would’ve been a lovely hotel in its prime. Sad to see it has not been kept up very well."

"The room was spotless with new fixtures and fittings. Staff were friendly and accomodating. There is a bar and a breakfast room. The room was quiet and the double bed was roomy. We were on the 2nd floor so a little tricky getting up with suitcases etc."
