"Nice little house on the river in Matagorda. The house was the perfect size for the two of us. We enjoyed drinking coffee in the mornings on the back deck looking out over the river and marsh lands. The furiture was comfortable and the house was clean when we got there. We ended up sleeping on the futon in the livingroom because the portable a/c unit in the bedroom was super loud and the bed was super soft in the middle. The dock light was nice, but did attract alot of bigs when on. FYI- the water has a bit of a sulfur smell, so we used bottled water for coffee. Parking was good and having an outdoor sink was nice when fishing on the dock to rinse off my hands. We used the hose to rinse of fishing poles and feet when we came back from the beach. All in all a great place to stay for the price."

"What a beautiful place to stay!!! We loved the spacious living room and kitchen area that had plenty of seating and awesome views of the water. We had a blast crabbing and fishing off the private lighted pier into the night. We would highly recommend staying here and will look forward to returning again."

"The house smelled like dogs. There was not a fish cleaning table are an area outside to clean the fish close to water are a water hose. The AC in the kitchen leaked one night and messed up a lot of our stuff we had brought. The management did get a maintenance person over to fix in a hurry but what a mess late at night."
