Top San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Hotel Reviews
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Lake Jackson Clute
6/10 Okay
"On the positive side, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout my stay. They were welcoming and attentive, which made check-in and any interactions pleasant. The breakfast was also good, with a decent variety to start the day.
However, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. The carpets appeared very worn and unclean, which gave the space a neglected feel. The mattress in my room was uncomfortable—lumpy and uneven—making it difficult to get a good night’s rest.
The most concerning issue was finding a roach in my room (217) the night before checkout. This was very unsettling and, unfortunately, overshadowed the otherwise positive aspects of my stay. I did report this to the front desk and hope it is addressed promptly.
While the staff and service were commendable, the condition of the hotel and cleanliness issues need significant improvement."
"There was items left in the refrigerator and microwave. There was no coffee maker. The bed cover was old and had two slash cuts. The under sheets were clean though. The towels were only two and it was felt harsh old. "

10/10 Excellent
"It was a wonderful and peaceful stay we enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. The property management team helped quickly to get situated for that extra night. Great view of the ocean as well, it’s right on the beach so it was so easy to walk downstairs directly to it. "
