I only have positive things to say about this condo. Great location, clean, nice showers, etc. I only wish our weekend trip were longer to take advantage of the kitchen and other amenities. Hoping to go back again. Would definitely recommend.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, close but not too close—we had a great time with this property as our base of operations for an all-too-brief stay featuring the wonderful hiking in this area. We’d love to come back in early winter or for spring skiing. Wonderful!
Nice 2 bedroom condo, would have been nice if the pool was closer and you didn’t have to pay extra to used it, also I should have read that the unit doesn’t have Ac

Not quite like the pictures
This location is amazing, bus stop to Northstar is right there, a very short walk down the driveway. So if you're looking for easy access to the gondola, this is a great value.
Now if you're looking for comfort as well, I have some notes for you:
The condo lighting is not great, almost cave like, the water heater must be small, because two showers, using both bathrooms, halfway through went freezing cold... not fun in 30 degrees 😒 and the bed mattress' are desperately begging to be retired, I haven't slept in a taco bed for a long time, and I did not need that experience after a day of working hard on the mountain, the high ceilings also had a large amount of cobwebs, and please wash the dishes before you use them, because I found two dirty wine glasses in the cupboard.
Cozy 2 bed 2 bath property about a mile from northstar. Two queen bedrooms are located downstairs with one full bathroom while the main floor has a full bathroom, living area, kitchen, and a fireplace. Perfect for two couples who are traveling together. Fireplace was wonderful (bring your own firewood), the beds/pillows were comfortable, and the water pressure in the showers was great! The kitchen was a little bare bones but nothing that couldn't be stocked by the local grocery store. Wifi was only 2g so it worked well with everything except zoom calls which were a bit spotty on my zoom call receivers' end. Switched to my phone hot spot but i have at&t and it only had two bars. Oh well....Got my morning work calls done regardless. Would be great if they could switch to 5g. Can park up to 2 cars and the village is only a short 3-minute drive away - about a mile so not walkable in ski or snowboots but an easy 3 min drive if someone is dropping you off at the base. Note: the hot tub is located at the association center (not sure where this is but you have to drive a few minutes and pay $10/person for use). We never ended up using it but maybe next time. Would recommend this property and stay here again - great price point.
The location is beautiful and felt very secluded. The beds were so comfy and everything was clean. Having two bathrooms and laundry was great. Some things are a little dated but everything was clean. Would definitely stay here again!
5 minute shuttle ride to main village and very easy to use with app just make sure you’re at the stop before you request. 2 parking spots was great. Full kitchen and washer dryer very handy! Hot water ran out in shower and wish there was clear directions to where the hot tub was, but overall great stay!
It was bigger than the picture shows. Comfortable beds, nice towels, big couch and quiet area. My family of 5 for perfect (3, 7, and 10 years old).
13 minutes away from the busier part of town. The host company responded quickly by email or text. Would like to stay again.

Great view, quiet, serene. The beds were very comfortable and condo was clean. There were a few little things that could be up kept or repaired to make it 100%. Overall a very nice place to stay!

Nice place, but needs some help
Kitchen was great. Overall great location. The furniture was a bit dated. A bit dusty. No A/C. The only major issue we had was the place was infested with spiders of all sizes and colors. Had several drop down on webs in front of us while sitting at the dining room table. Found a few who had set up a nice big web in some of the corners of the hallway and rooms. Had a spider drop down on the bed while sitting in it. Made us uncomfortable to sleep. The place needs regular pest control spraying which should clear up the issue. I also live in the hills with a similar situation and spiders are one of the easiest pests to control since they are particularly sensitive to pesticides.. just basic regular pest service should be able to handle this. Also, cleaning up the nests in the corners of the walls/ceiling would be helpful.
Great location and beautiful views. Nice floor plan for a family. Were cobwebs in kitchen above window. Unit could use some updating. TV was old with blurry images and often froze. Screen door latch is broken. Nice kitchen, but inadequate lighting. Bedding was old. Overall, very nice stay.

Lots of pests: ants, spiders, mosquitos. Bed had stains on the mattress. Felt itchy. No AC so it was very hot. I would put a portable ac in the unit for the summer.

Reviewer Comments:
The rental was very cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. We were very close/short drive to main Tahoe attractions ( downtown Truckee, the Lake) but were removed enough to feel like we were in the woods and have a quiet stay. Would definitely stay again. Only criticism is that there was no iron in our place- we had found an ironing board and the renters texted us saying there was one but we never found it. Just a small inconvenience but not so much that I wouldn't recommend this place or stay again.

Well at least there was snow...
The furnishings, appliances etcetera are OLD. The toaster was seriously from the 80's, the TV might have been made in the 90's. There were two or three lightbulbs out and the bed in the master bedroom was TERRIBLE. The entire unit is dark. There are two bathrooms and a a total of four towels.

Good location but the condo needs improvement
This is a great location and a nice cabin but it needs work. I expected better for the amount charged per night. Replace all the beds as they are in poor condition. I woke up with a bad backache. rearrange the living space so it is not awkward to watch a movie. upgrade the living room with a TV made in this decade and put reasonably sized TVs in the bedrooms. Bedroom had a TV the size of a computer monitor, though it was from this decade.

Smaller than expected
The living room area was smaller than I expected and there was not even room for four people to sit on comfortable chairs. Also the TV/DVD system is quite old and we could never get it to work right. I find that unacceptable. The check-out instructions did not remind us to return our parking passes and inadvertently we left with them and had to overnight them back which was expensive and stressful. Also, we were not told where the pass for the rec center was but luckily we were let in without having it. For these reason I can not recommend this unit.

Not as good as it looks, but a great local rep
Problems
- Vacasas emails all had incorrect codes to get in the unit, Gordon, their local rep came through with a code that worked
- Furniture is definitely not as comfortable as the pictures look
- Painters were painting the building while we were booked. They were going to cover windows & sliders with plastic...they planned to paint the entryway including the stairs WHILE we were there. The painters said they notified the Assn & the owners 2 months before they started. The owners & the rental agent did not notify us until days after we had arrived.
- The only good thing about this experience is that Vacasa's local rep, Gordon, found us a replacement home, nicer than the Mill Camp Gem. We did not have to pay anything extra. Gordon is a great guy!
This unit is the perfect Northstar location! The unit itself was clean - but as you look around there were a lot of cobwebs and dust on the blinds. It is kind of dark, so it's easy to miss at first glance. So while we never felt it was dirty overall, just the opposite, it was clean and habitable - but it really needs a deep cleaning. Looking back on comments from over a year ago, the cobwebs were mentioned in the kitchen. The patio furniture is flimsy and sparse but served it's purpose (as long as you don't apply pressure to the table). The TV in the living room was from 1994 and is horrible. There is also only one other small TV in the one bedroom that has no cable. These comments were also noted well over a year ago. The owner needs to spend a few dollars and buy some nicer patio furniture and upgrade the TVs. You don't come to this area to watch TV, but when you have some downtime, it's nice to turn it on and then relax on the patio without fear of the patio furniture falling apart. Prior comments also mention that the sliding door screen handle was broken well over a year ago and it is still broken. It is also VERY quiet in this complex, so even talking outside, you are heard many units away. Overall we were very happy with our stay and this condo - I just needed to note the comments that have been talked about for years with no action taken. If the owner spent a little effort in a deep clean, new patio furniture and new TVs this would be a 5 star condo all day long! We would stay again with these changes implemented!

Wonderful Condo - Terrible Property Manager
The condo and its location are great - in fact we met the owners and they are delightful, however I cannot say the same about the property managers. I do go into a complaint fest here, but only because I think the owners should be aware of what we experienced. The condo was nice split level 2 bdrm/2bath with 2 queen beds - tho I swear when I booked it there were 2 twin beds in one of the bedrooms?? The location is great with easy access on the shuttles. It is up a steep hill, so be sure you have 4WD or chains in snow b/c it can get slippery. The road to the lodge backs up terribly at the end of the day, so plan accordingly if your trying to pick someone up at the lodge - better to have them take the shuttle back up. The set up of the house is great for a family of four, but could get a little crowded with limited seating due to the location of the sofa to the TV. The kitchen was a nice size and easy to cook in, however we found many dirty dishes, along with the fridge and stovetop with food debris. The dishwasher was not functioning and there was a huge puddle of water under the washing machine - so we were told we could not use it - this was a big issue because we had picked up my son who had already been away a week and all of his clothes needed laundered. The fireplace is a gas starter, which was easy, but make sure to bring your own firewood - none was provided. BUY INSURANCE - With the big storm that came in NYE, we couldn't get to the property - got stuck and were not able to make it up to the property because they closed I-80 - there was no flexibility with the property manager. We had asked days before we left if they would consider moving our dates because it looked unlikely that we would be able to pass on the roads. They said NO. We got an email about 5 days before our stay offering a large discount to extend our stay, but given the uncertaintly of the weather, we did not act on it. Given that we missed our first day/night b/c the FWY was CLOSED, I asked if they would honor the discounted rate if we decided to stay a day longer given our situation. They said NO. As it turned out the roads were once again going to close so we ended up leaving a night early anyway, so we lost $$ on the front end and back end of the stay due to unprecedented conditions. NorthStar resort didn't even have the whole mountain open and opened late during our stay due to heavy snow and avalanche conditions. Terrible Property Mgmt - Great Condo!

Great Week at Northstar!
6030 Camp Mill is a gem! It is very comfortable for 4. It is very clean, well stocked, and the HOA complex amenities are excellent. We also enjoyed the great water pressure in the showers! We loved the Native American motif as well. It is an excellent location to be in King's Beach or downtown Truckee in 15 minutes and Tahoe Palisades (formerly Squaw Valley) in 30 minutes.
Condo was clean and well maintained. Check in was easy and all relevant info for the stay was delivered... no follow up questions needed. The beds were a bit soft for me, but I do like a firmer bed.
Property location for skiers is good. Has a good ski condo vibe. Bus picked us up in our unit parking lot and the bus back was way quicker than for the other resort lots. Beds are fairly comfortable. Bathrooms are nice overall. Kitchen is only modestly supplied. Nothing fancy. Good size table though. TV is really small and neighbor walls are thin. Overall it worked but with just a little more effort this place could be great.
Well maintained , clean , bed linens poor . Pillows ancient and only two pillowcases for four pillows . Minimal cutlery so glad only two guests. Easy walk to shuttle bus to village.
We enjoyed staying in this complex- it's peaceful and the shuttle to northstar is very convenient and the app used to hail a shuttle works well. Some reviews have said this place feels "dated"- I didn't think so. The interior felt newly renovated for the most part, just with more traditional styling. My only minor complaint was that the bedrooms for this place got extremely warm at night with the doors closed, since the thermostat is outside the rooms. With bedroom doors open it was ok.
