Beautiful Property!

This is an absolutely beautiful property a few minutes outside Truckee. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying with a large group.

Perfect Stay

Once again Royal Zen provided my family with an amazing stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook and the house is perfect for family gatherings. We have stayed here now two years in a row during the holidays and will be returning for years to come. The host, Kristin, is always so responsive and helpful! Can’t wait to return next year!

Amazing Property!

This house is spacious, well maintained and sits in a beautiful setting! We had a small family reunion of 12 people from 3 yrs to adult. The kids loved the trampoline, plenty of areas to hang out together and unwind. The owner called to check in and make sure everything was going well. I would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway

This is a wonderful property. Quiet and relaxing. Large enough that our large group could be together or spend time apart. Close enough to a really good local pizza place and small grocery store. Our family used this home as a relaxing place to rest during our daughter's wedding festivities.

Family holiday during "Snowmaggedon 2021"

A lot of our family had moved out of state this year so we decided to get away for Christmas. This home is gorgeous, and we are pretty sure the property is too, but the 6+ feet of snow that fell made it hard to appreciate it all. We had more than enough room for our group of 9 (ages 18-74), my mom is in a wheelchair and she was able to maneuver the first floor with very few issues. Communication with Karin, the property manager, was top notch. We can't thank her and the owner enough for working with us through the challenges that mother nature sent our way. My dad is pretty hard to please and he said he would book the place again.

Loved staying in this beautiful house with a group of friends! Kitchen is very well-stocked, bedrooms were comfortable, and the location is awesome. Very close to the river and Truckee town. Recommend!

Beautiful home

This home was perfect for our group of two families. The kitchen/living area is beautiful and the views out the huge windows are amazing. The kitchen was well equipped. It is a very quiet residential neighborhood so I don’t recommend it if you have a noisy group that plans on partying loudly.

Spacious and comfortable rental

Our group of 8 friends had a lovely stay at Royal Zen over the Thanksgiving weekend. The kitchen was a great set up to cook a holiday dinner in and the house provided ample space to spend time together or retreat to our own quiet spaces if needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the gas fireplace and kept warm and cozy. Definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again!

Truckee Zen

Overall very nice house with beautiful property backing to pine forest for nearly complete privacy. The house is spacious with nice size bedrooms. Kitchen and Great Room have plenty of comfortable seating. Hot tub is spotless as well as new gas grill. It’s about 35 min to Kings Beach House is lived in and could use some updating and repairs. Nothing that impacted the stay but would rate this 8 of 10 in terms of overall quality.

Very peaceful & wonderful stay! House is very nice as described. Convenient 10-15 min to down town Truckee. We were in from Northern VA. for a family wedding. It was nice to have enough beds and en suites for all of us:) pre teen to 76. House is nicely equipped with Kitchen necessities. Nice backyard area with a hiking path and we enjoyed the hot tub on the chilly evenings. Thank you for sharing your home. Shannon and Family

Great house good location

Had a couple of challenges with the hot tub but it was straightened out. Public spaces are well appointed and spacious. Nice large kitchen with a giant island which worked well for us as we all love to cook.

Phenomenal Stay

This home has everything you'll need for a relaxing, quiet stay. We've never seen such a fully equipped kitchen - made for seamless cooking and baking. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or come together. And the entire house is clean and comfortable. Property management and cleaning crew were so kind and attentive. We'll most definitely be returning!

AMAZING home in Truckee!

Ten of us went up to Truckee for a ski weekend and LOVED this house so much. It is wonderfully laid out with amazing communal spaces. The kitchen was awesome for cooking at home (with two dishwashing machines!) and we had many cozy nights in front of the fireplace. Amazing home, great decor, perfect communal spaces. I can't recommend it enough!

The best getaway

Beautiful cabin!! The cabin was as great as the description: clean, spacious, beautiful, and well stocked! We especially loved the big kitchen that had every thing we needed. The big windows provided plenty of natural light. The cabin sits on a big lot so it was nice to be able to walk around in the back. There is a trail behind the house that we were able to go on for a snow walk. The cabin has a huge family room on the 2nd floor, which was really great for our infant daughter. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We plan on coming back in the future!

Beautiful property and responsive hosts

This home is exactly as pictured. Our family had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and ready for us at check in. The book with instructions for the home and suggestions for the neighborhood was complete and helpful. The property manager Kristin was very quick with communication. There were no issues with the home. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The only issue was with VRBO. It takes 3 weeks after the end of the rental to receive the security deposit credited back to the form of payment. Putting that here so it’s not a surprise for anyone and hopefully saves you the time I spent trying to figure that out with VRBO.

Quiet stay in the mountains

A quiet mountain home, coffee in the morning on the back patio before the day starts. Visit the surrounding area… return home to finish the day again enjoying the spacious home, patio, hottub. Close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe for an easy commute.
