Private & Spacious *Hot Tub* In the Redwoods

Soak in the hot tub surrounded by giant redwoods & ferns! The perfect wooded retreat - 3000 square feet of serenity in this luxury home tucked away in the woods! Forest Creek Lodge is located just above the coastal fog line, yet stays cool deep in the trees. Badminton/volleyball net, croquet set, and tether-ball are provided with private yard for tons of family fun! The lodge has a wrap-around, covered deck that lights up at night creating a magical atmosphere. Enjoy barbecuing outside, swinging on the porch swing or soaking in the 4 person hot tub. This home has so many nooks and crannies to enjoy, everyone can spread out and find their special spot. Kids will love all the fun sleeping areas, a great place to play hide and seek! Larger groups will be considered with an additional charge of $25/per person/per night. This is a great lodging choice for guests coming to attend a wedding at Moonstone Beach which is just a mile and a half away.

THE KITCHEN -
The gourmet chef’s kitchen is perfect for entertaining and those who love to cook. Fully stocked with pots/pans, utensils, and appliances as well as the basics: coffee, spices, flour, sugar, oil and vinegar. The large island kitchen has granite countertops, a six-burner professional gas stove, and all stainless appliances. Gleaming hardwood floors complete the kitchen and adjacent dining area which looks out into the redwood forest and offers window seats to relax and enjoy the view!

THE LIVING ROOM/ENTERTAINMENT -
Large sunken living room is so cozy - it feels like home! Enjoy streaming your favorite entertainment with the roku and 100” viewing screen! Black out window shades allow for ideal movie watching any time of day. The vaulted, wood lined ceilings in the living room create an expansive yet cozy feeling made complete with ambiance and warmth of the electric "fireplace" stove. The living room opens up with double French doors onto the private back deck complete with propane heaters(2) to keep warm while enjoying dinner next to the gentle flowing waters of forest creek, nestled amidst ferns, gorgeous redwood groves, and giant primitive old-growth stumps.

THE BEDROOMS -
All three bedrooms have comfortable queen beds with luxury linens, plenty of blankets, throws and pillows, as well as good reading lights. The first bedroom is on the main level-adjacent to the bath-perfect for those with limited mobility. A winding staircase leads upstairs to the Master Suite and Tree House room. Aptly named "Tree House Room" this incredible bedroom has 2 walls of windows looking directly into the redwood treetops! The kids will be sparring for who gets to sleep here! The adjacent Master Suite with even more coziness: skylights, reading nooks, window seats, and more beautiful wooded views. Through the living area and up the 2nd stairway you will find the sleeping loft above the living room with an additional queen sized bed and sofa. The stairs leading to the loft include a unique very private corner window seat looking out into the redwoods.

THE BATHROOMS -
Plenty of privacy with a total of 3 full bathrooms. On the main level, the bathroom boasts double sinks, and separate private toilet and shower/bathtub areas. The 2nd bathroom, off the laundry room, includes a glass and tile shower. Perfect for easy access to-and-from the hot tub. The 3rd bathroom is adjacent to the upstairs master suite and is shared with the dressing area. It has a glass enclosed shower and separate toilet area. All showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

HEAT SOURCE -
Forest Creek Lodge has forced air heat throughout as well as an easy-to-use electric stove with realistic flame display for a cozy ambiance. Additional space heaters for warmth as well as heavy comforters ensure guests stay nice and cozy!


Be prepared to make yourself at home! Fully stocked kitchen, beach toys and blankets, yard toys, kids area with toys for all ages, games, and books! Every detail has been thought of!

2 Night Minimum Stay required during our high season. As the guest that book this home you must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking. Sorry, this house is NOT pet friendly, no exceptions.

We had a great stay! The house was well stocked and the host was amazing to answer and help with even the most trivial questions! The hot tub and tree room were worth it by themselves. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely house among the trees

Our family loved staying and playing in this house- lots of sweet touches (window seats, croquet and badminton, hot tub in the trees), as well as all the basics.It was also a great location for a home base to explore the Redwoods parks and local towns.Maeve was super responsive to our questions.

Wonderful place and host

Our trip was absolutely amazing. The house is super clean and the host is very nice and cooperative. Nice house in redwoods. Very close to redwood parks and the beach. Highly recommended.

Amazing, we will want to be back!

This home checks all the boxes, plus some. We love the quiet location set in the trees and thimbleberries, but close to town. The projector screen was a great unexpected perk for movie nights. Very comfortable home with lots of space, couches and amenities. We are experienced travelers and it really stood out.

Great home in the redwoods, esp. for children

Fabulous home for a large group (5 adults, teenagers). Excellently equipped house, esp. in the kitchen and the sports equipment for kids. I could not have found a better place for my family to stay.

Very kid friendly

Listing exactly as advertised. We had four teen boys with us. The AV/screen for watching movies was great. They loved the tether ball, hot tub and they took over the living room and sleeping loft. Great kitchen. Home was the best supplied that we’ve ever stayed at: ziplock bags all the way to plentiful towels and cooking utensils/pots and pans.

Big, beautiful home in the redwoods

We enjoyed our stay at this big and fun home built into a little redwood grove. It was a nice and well appointed house. Lots of space but also cozy spaces such as window seats. We needed last minute accommodations and they were ready for us. The sleeping porch was wonderful but did have a couple of steps to get down to it. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Great location to access the redwoods and close to the beaches. A couple of miles from Trinidad.

This is our second time staying at this property and it definitely won’t be our last. This home is beautiful, exceptionally well appointed, and is full of creature comforts. Our teen kids even thought it was amazing and have asked to come back for a week every year.

Great Getaway in the Redwoods

The house was very cozy and has an interesting layout. It was a great house for my friends and I to spend the weekend. We used the outdoor games (badminton and croquet) and enjoyed the nearby Moonstone Beach (less than 5 minutes away!). Note that the host has a lot of notes and rules posted about the house, and the housecleaners arrive promptly at 11:05!

Really great house for 6 to 8 people. Lots of outside deck space with table and chairs, heaters, hot tub, grill, etc. Towering trees all around. U get that secluded forest vibe. Loved it

Redwood Retreat Worth Repeating

What an absolute gem! Tucked away in the heart of the Redwoods, this home was more than just a place to stay—it was an experience. The setting was peaceful, the house itself was stunning, and every amenity felt thoughtfully chosen.The projector setup turned movie night into a full cinematic experience (chef’s kiss), and the gas stove was next-level—perfect for cooking up a cozy dinner after a day of exploring.From start to finish, everything was smooth, relaxing, and just felt like a little slice of magic. Lovely home away from home

Once we figured out the location (the map on the listing did not lead us to the right place), everything was a breeze. Maeve was quick to respond to it questions and we found the spot. The house, while slightly dated, made me feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked (minus the food) and the bedrooms were cozy. My kids loved the hot tub that overlooked the redwoods and the projector movie screen. Overall, our stay here was wonderful!

This house is amazing. We arrived in the dark late in the evening so we had no idea how beautiful it was until we woke up! One of the rooms felt like you’re sleeping in a terrarium- that’s how dense the trees are right outside your window. Maeve was super communicative when we had some wifi issues due to rain, and I can think of zero critiques for our girls trip visiting the redwoods. We had the best time!

Amazing getaway

We had a phenomenal weekend at this home. There were so many thoughtful and interesting touches at the home at the property as a whole. The rooms were quirky (in the very best way - one room has full windows on two walls for incredible forest views) and the extra large living room with projector and screen tv were phenomenal for our little group to all hang out I. The same place with plenty of space. We happened to have snow/ hail/ rain all weekend but didn’t feel like we missed out on anything. Moonstone beach is a little over a mile away. We will definitely be back!
