Overall a good experience, house was clean and no smells. Only negative part was the beds and curtains, main room was a full size and hard to fit 2 adults, and 2nd bedroom has a street light shining into room making it harder to sleep. Very nice property and surroundings

Disappointed
Home felt damp and clammy. Smelled of cleanser or disinfectant—STRONG. Needed to be aired out. It would be a good place for hunters but a bit too rustic for our taste. Manager was eager to help and responded quickly whenever we contacted her. The problems were more cosmetic than anything else.

We saw a mouse run through the living room and mouse droppings in the kitchen. We reported this to the owner. She said she knew there were issues with the fields behind the house but would take extra steps to take care of it.

Smelly, maybe good for hunting cabin
The place smelled off stale cigarette smoke & musty. The place looks clean ish but if you look closely in the bathroom, it’s not. The comforters didn’t look like they’d been cleaned. I barely slept because of the smell & how cold it was without a blanket (I removed the comforter & hoped for the best with the sheets). We just needed a place to sleep while we made our way through this part of the UP. It’s only about 30-40 min from Munising which worked well for our trip. It’s on a main road, so easy to find. You do hear some traffic through the night, but it’s the UP, so it’s not like city traffic. Overall, the smell & cleanliness really put us off. Definitely the dirtiest VRBO type place we have stayed at (20+ places across the Midwest). It could be good for people who aren’t as worried about that while hunting or something. But definitely was not comfortable for our family.

Quaint little farm town
The home was quiet and well stocked. Convenient location for many Upper Peninsula attractions. Dollar General down the road. Perfect for a small family get away.
