We had a marvellous stay in this large airy, well equipped home. It is situated close to CBD and The Strand for the best choice of fabulous places to eat and drink. It is secure and in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Communication was efficient and supportive. Would definitely recommend for family and friends getaway.

We had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and the house was perfect for spending time together. We used to live in North Ward so it was great being back in our old stomping ground again. A fantastic location in Townsville.

The house was great . We did find that with the personal food still left in the cupboards and fridge we were invaded the owners personal space. The same with the bathrooms as well. We think if you are going to rent the personal products must be seperate and locked away. The deck area out the back was gorgeous we ate out there all the time. It would be nice to see in one of the rooms either a couple of single beds or bunk beds to cater for children/ teenagers. But overall the house is lovely and in a great location for what we wanted to do in Townsville

Our overall stay was good. The house and location were great. Fantastic secure yard for our two dogs and in a close location for the Strand. The dogs loved being able to sleep on the upstairs balcony at night.Unfortunately the house was not clean or tidy for our stay and this put a damper on the whole holiday. When we arrived I had to vacuum the whole house because otherwise you felt like you needed to wear shoes inside. There was dog hair on the couch and cushions, the inside entry was covered in cob webs and spiders. The showers had not been cleaned properly and there was mould/mildew everywhere. The yard had dog poo scattered throughout the yard, there’s no actual grass in the yard, it’s just mowed weeds. There were cigarette butts left behind in a container from previous occupants. I advised the rental team and they let us know it would be rectified before the next occupants on 27 December, hopefully it is. There was no offer for things to be fixed for our 4 night stay though.

Nice house, clean. But in the advertisement there was a spa, a ping pong table and a fussball table that made us choose the house and the higher price. The spa did not work, the ping pong rackets and balls were broken and the fussball table was simply not there. We tried to call and message the host but first he didn’t reply and then he did nothing to try to help us or fix these issues. We asked for a reduced price since we didn’t get what was promised in the advertisement which was just brushed off. Also, he gave us the wrong code to the door which made the check in difficult, also that time he didn’t answer his phone. If you book this house, don’t count on the spa or any help from the host. Having said that, the house itself is lovely but in my eyes not worth the price without the spa and games.

The house was nice, but not clean. I had to look under the couch to retrieve a toy and it was totally filthy. This was visible when coming up from the downstairs area too. By itself, this would not have been an issue, however it got us looking at other areas and just noticing more and more. Every surface was either covered in dust or had been wiped with a dirty cloth. There were old food scraps and dirt and dust in the kitchen utensil drawers, and the canopy filters were dripping old oil into the food cooking on the cooktop. Also there weren't many kitchen utensils to use, and what there was was most broken. To the extent that the tongs had to be used like chopsticks! My partner found an old sewing needle in the carpet as it stuck into her foot. Next, there was no gas for the BBQ, and when the refill was delivered, it was dropped over the fence, and left for us to take upstairs and fit to the BBQ. Finally when we managed to have a BBQ, we noticed the hornets that had burrowed into the outdoor table and started to swarm when we sat down to eat. Lastly, the lawns weren't mowed when we arrived, and were done a day before we left, leaving the kids no outdoor area to play in until the last day. While none of these issues are significant in isolation, the culmination of all of them resulted in a very disappointing stay given it was one of the most expensive options available.

This modern home was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room and a lovely deck. It was close to all conveniences and we were able to walk to the Strand for dinner. Good access with the integral lockup garage. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely modern house, well appointed and with good security. Very comfy beds. Kitchen great for cooking (tho a few more dishes would have been useful). Huge covered deck. Short walk to the Strand. Highly recommend this house.

This property is located close to the Strand, shops and airport. It was the perfect spot for an extended stay in Townsville. The house was modern and comfortable and had everything we needed. As the property sits back a bit from the road, we found it very quiet and peaceful. Steve was the perfect host and was very accomodating.

We wanted a weekend getaway but struggle to find somewhere nice to stay because we have a dog. This is a very beautiful property, everything is very clean and the check in process is very easy. Would definitely recommend staying here!
