"What a disgrace of a business!! Upon arrival, we couldn't get anyone to answer the door. I saw a notice on one of the doors that said call this number for assistance, so did that, and it went to voicemail. We were outside in -3 deg weather for 3 quarters of an hour trying to get in. Staff were not hospitable at all, acted like we were an inconvenience, and that's putting it mildly. Room was freezing cold with an ineffective wall heater that did nothing. Bed was hard as the floor, and one cotton sheet with an equally thin blanket, not appropriate for the time of the year, we had to go to bed fully clothed. Not good enough for what we paid, in fact I want a refund. The worst place I have ever stayed ! "

"Very spacious - two bedrooms, full kitchen, and living room. Comfortable beds, quiet, and clean. Lovely restaurant was a short walk away, but not much else to do in Fairlie."

"There was no kitchenette as advertised, Had to take the kettle outside to fill from a garden tap. Only one pillow that flattered down to nothing. The toilet window could not shut fully and the toilet paper was a large roll of paper so narrow it made it very hard to complete the business. I realised it was cheap but never again, in the add for the single room it had photo's of what i can only assume was another bigger unit. Very disappointing. "

"This was a brilliant short notice and impressive find. The host greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. The room and facilities were absolutely spot on. The room was excellent. Very clean and a very good size. The bed was really big and comfortable. The whole stay was excellent. Thankyou."

"Fantastic motel room. Thoughtfully designed, lovely colours. Great shower and bathroom. Everything immaculately clean. Private back patio area with chairs and a table. Fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee/tea. Very quiet at night and a 2 minute walk from the bakery and supermarket. Easy to get in with key pick up from coded lockbox. We were here for a 1 night stop over between Cardrona and Christchurch. Highly recommended."
