On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. "We were happy to stay for the first time at Melfort Village. It had everything that we needed and we were very comfortable. The staff was so great and friendly. "In a week of rain we managed to find many dry days. The location of the village was outstanding with views of the loch and an abundance of birdlife ( I counted 40 species in the area in the week). Melfort has great access to the isles through Oban and the coastline along the A 816 offers opportunities for gardens (Arduaine) and loch views from Ardfern. "Melfort never disappoints; excellent staff and accommodation -only downside on this occasion, Shower of Herring closed until new people reopen it on 10 October. However, nearby Cufail Hotel supplied excellent meals."

"We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended."

"We extended our stay in Melfort village and were rewarded with beautiful weather. Upper Cooperage is a lovely comfortable apartment which now has an ensuite shower room as well as main bathroom. Everything we need is provided and the village is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are welcoming & helpful & the Monday music night was great fun. Recommend a stay here."
