Overall, I would definitely recommend Sonesta. The location is great, the rooms are well appointed and spacious. Lobby is very nice. Staff are courteous and positive.
A few things that could be improved though. First and foremost... the pillows. The super soft pillows (4 for one person, and 1 decorative), are just terrible for any one who sleeps on their side. I asked for a foam pillow - the pillow I received was also super soft. Not even sure it was a foam pillow. Having some firm/foam pillows for guests would be really appreciated.
Next - the gym. At first glance looks pretty good. But the elliptical trainer is non functional. Mechanically it works, but screen wouldn't come on. I mentioned to front desk. On 2nd night still non functional. Not sure if anyone was actually doing anything to address this. Also, on the older treadmill the touch screen is essentially non functional.
One other point. The junk fees have to stop. I have no problem paying a "facility fee" or "resort fee" but this has to be rolled into the fee paid at the point of booking with Expedia or other. Asking for these additional fees on check-in always leaves guests feeling exploited and manipulated. The USA has legislation in Congress to ban these fees.
