"We stayed here to be close to a graduation in Lawrence. Rate was good and fun had plenty of space. The courtyard was nice and comfortable. The room could use some upkeep (regular maintenance stuff) but nothing terrible. There was no elevator so getting a heavier bag up the stairs was s little cumbersome, but may be a consideration if that would be difficult or if stairs are a challenge. Overall not a bad place and would stay again. "

"There was a large gap in the door. Not bad for this time of year but in the winter-it would have been a terrible draft. The bathroom door didn't shut properly. It was a good place if you just wanted a bed and a shower but I wouldn't stay there again. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful-best part of the experience."

"Decided at the last minute to take the trip. Chose the least expensive spot which was about 1/2 of what the reservation would have been if I had joined the group attending the same event. I also traveled by motorcycle and saved a lot on the trip. (Haven't calculated how much yet). The location is showing it's age a bit, but there are some upgrades. Gone is the carpeting I usually find in motels, replaced with a solid surface. I think if that's going to be the new thing, then they should do a bit...

On the far side of Topeka
"Pretty pleased with this one. Attended a track meet in Lawrence and many hotels were already book in the area. Saw a review that said nothing was around this...indeed! Just enough around. I was told by very friendly clerk it was prob 10-15 minutes until I really got into the heart of some fast-food joints. It's a bit out there in Topeka but easy enough access. Not a ton of traffic on the road outside made it quieter. There are some eating options around and I enjoyed the Mexican joint a couple minutes down the road. Also some BBQ and uh, a nudie joint. Only saw one staffer but she was good. Room was above-average clean. Shower had decent pressure and hot water. Very easy to park. Good wi-fi...unless you're the TV, which was in-and-out. Never felt unsafe. Pretty pleased with facility."
