"We stayed in a vaulted room with a fireplace. It had a very cozy feel while being quite large. The extra table with 2 plush chairs were great in front of the fireplace but it would have better with a couch since the TV and DVD player were close by. The toilet and large shower were private with a huge sliding wooden barn door while the sink area had a privacy wall on 3 sides (no door). That same area had a special warmth created by 3 sconce lamps with 2 mirrors above the double sinks. Above the mirrors/ lamps, there were 2 or 3 cut-away openings in the wall that fed light high into the bedroom (A-frame ceiling about 15 feet up). There was also some open ceiling above those bathroom cut-outs, so there were times I wished the light wouldn't come through, but it looked so cool. We just unscrewed 2 sconce lamp bulbs at bedtime. Everything was very romantic and my only complaint was the mini blinds over the slider doors to the balcony. It should have been a curtain."

"Nice comfy room, clean and in great condition. Floors are well padded and carpeted. Very organized and efficient hotel staff, especially the cleaning staff!! Coffee, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, biscuits and gravy and eggs all really good! Not thrilled with check-in process. Just 2 in front of me and it just took too long. Seems she could have called for backup help?? Just rubbed me the wrong way and staff at check in really lacked personal friendliness, which would have been greatly appreciated after that long drive getting there."

"This house has a lot of history and charm, with beautiful open spaces inside that made it so fun together as a family, and gorgeous views from the outside deck that made our trip really peaceful. It was also SO well stocked, and the kitchen had many multiples of everything you'd ever need (plenty of cups, plates, cooking utencils, utting boards, pots, pans, casserole pans, even crock pots and waffle maker). If you vacation with a large family you know how important it is to be able to cook on the trip and I was so impressed and glad we had all the bells and whistles(x2 or 3!)Hot tub was very well maintained, perfect way to watch the stars at night.The only thing worth note to be aware of (and nowhere near a dealbreaker!) is the driveway- it's VERY steep, which made it a little challenging for parking with a boat trailer and navigating with our elderly grandparents on daily outings. Its just the nature of the property, but something to be prepaired for Absolutely would stay again, especially over a holiday, its a house that really feels like home."
