"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Captains Cottage! The inside has been beautifully decorated and maintains the historic charm of the house and the view from the back patio is a showstopper! The house offers various spaces to suit everyone's needs - quiet nooks to read, a living room with comfy couches to watch TV, the room off the kitchen was great for side conversations and morning coffee with a view and the dining room was perfect for our family dinners. And the Surry location was convenient for our day trips to both Acadia and Castine. "

"We had a beautiful and peaceful 5 days at the camp. The camp was immaculately clean, extremely well organized, and provisioned with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed in mid-October with overnight lows around 40F and used the electric room heaters but did not need the gas heater or extra / electric blankets.The camp is roughly equidistant between Acadia National Park and Deer Isle and was a great launching point for visits to both. Highlights of our vacation included star-gazing, sunrises, and bald eagle watching from the dock on the lake; Gorham Mountain Trail and Little Hunter's Beach in Acadia; coffee at 44 North and hikes at the Edgar Tennis and Settlement Quarry Preserves on Deer Isle; and drinks at Airline Brewing and dinner at Provender in Ellsworth. Be sure to plan ahead and make reservations for dinner in Ellsworth!"

"Great location! We stayed here for our visit to Acadia National Park. Shivani had great recommendations of places to eat and things to do. "

"Nice simple cabin on beautiful lake. Small bathroom. There is a hair dryer provided. As is noted in description the loft is more for teens. Just too hard to maneuver stepping up onto floor from the ladder because of space and slant of roof line. We used the fold out sofa for one of us instead. It was old and not that comfortable but easier than the loft. It isn’t too far from Acadia NP and other activities. We ventured out every day. "
