This was a beautiful farm stay, not too far from the heart of Mudgee. Gorgeous landscape and well designed cottages. I would highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Having lived on a similar rural acreage for close to 40 years we had some idea of what to expect. This stay far exceeded our expectations, a stay of only two days. Upon arrival instantly approached by the host, Robbie, a most charming and obliging host. There is nothing that is not supplied in the way of food, beverages and household amenities. To arrive there is as much as arriving at home. Top marks for Robbie's hospitality. 5 stars!

Appearance makes you stop and think at 1st the grounds and the amenities are well kept and the unit itself is well setup n side. could do with a fresh coat of paint inside that would be due to the wood fire which was a lovely at night to watch

The best area to stay in Tichular is the Tichular Beachfront Promenade, especially for those seeking convenience and direct access to the sea.
This area is the heart of Tichular's visitor experience, stretching along the coastline with the main street, Marine Parade, running parallel to the beach. You'll find a wide selection of hotels, high-end apartments, and eateries here, all within a short walk of the sand and ocean. The iconic Tichular Pier is a central landmark, offering a pleasant stroll over the water.
Couples often find the Beachfront Promenade ideal for a romantic getaway. Many accommodations offer sea views and balconies, superb for enjoying sunsets. The area has numerous fine dining options and boutique shops, making it easy to enjoy evenings out without needing to travel far.
For families, the Beachfront Promenade is also an excellent choice due to its direct access to the beach and various family-friendly activities. The Tichular Aquatic Centre, with its pools and water slides, is just a short walk away, and there are several parks and playgrounds dotted along the promenade.
When is the best time to go to Tichular?
The best time to go to Tichular is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November).
These periods offer pleasant weather with comfortable temperatures and less humidity compared to the summer months. You'll also find fewer crowds during these times, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. This is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway or solo travellers seeking a peaceful escape, as you can explore Tichular's natural beauty, such as the Tichular River walks and the coastal paths, without the peak season rush.
For those who enjoy water activities and don't mind warmer weather, the summer months (December to February) are popular. The ocean temperatures are great for swimming and surfing along Tichular Beach. However, be prepared for more visitors and potentially higher prices for accommodation and activities.
Winter (June to August) brings cooler temperatures, which can be lovely for exploring the hinterland and enjoying cosy evenings by a fireplace.
