"This is an attractive historical building but hard to stay in. Check-in and breakfast are 1 mile away; this was not disclosed in the reservation process. There are no staff members on the premises, although when called in, Drakkar was friendly and helpful. Lighting in my room was very inconvenient -- no bathroom illumination, bedroom chandelier did not work, but florescent tube over bookcase could not be turned off. "Mary Lou was so nice to chat with, and very helpful. Sharing with us the history of the home was so fun. Such a kind soul. The peace and quiet was so nice. Discovering the history of the home was so fun! Why are there no fireplaces?!? Basement? Crawl space? See what you can find. Play records on the…well, what is it? Victorola? Hmm But be respectful, put everything back as you found it, so others can enjoy it as we have."

"This was by far one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We will be back for sure! I will Say that there was a swim meet going on and that group stayed at the hotel and there was absolutely no supervision on the kids. Not the kids fault at all but the parents did not supervise. I felt terrible for the staff to have to deal with the chaos that went on. "
