"The room was fine. The pillows & bed were not that comfortable. I told the receptionist that each time we had a shower, a large pool of water was on the floor! Hotel facilities were superb. However, there were a few things that weren't working in the pool. We had a massage which was superb - thoroughly recommend. We eat in the restaurant both nights; food was OK. Thought the fish & chips was greasy and chips not very appetising. Saturday meal was a bit better. The breakfast staff were superb. However, they were rushed off their feet and it didn't help that the coffee machine broke down both days!! The coffee wasn't that great anyway! So, a great weekend but we won't be visiting again."

"We stayed in a dog friendly room in the courtyard and it was a little tired. That said, the hotel bar was a nice place for a drink and the hotel staff were amazing - every single one of them were friendly, and couldn’t do enough for you. "

"We stayed in a deluxe family room which was very spacious and had a nice bit bathroom. The room was pretty clean but the top of the headboard was very dusty. There was a kettle and some tea in the room but no coffee maker or even instant coffee and there was no fridge. The breakfast has a good selection on the buffet and a lot of menu items that you can order which were included in the price. Hotel guests have to pay extra to use the facilities on top of the room price at £10 per person, you also only get a robe if you are on a spa day. The "spa" was just a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There wasn't much relaxation space or loungers. I would have been very disappointed if I was coming for a spa day alone as the swimming pool was full of kids and wasn't very relaxing spa experience at all. The massage I had was very good and I would recommend getting one. Overall the hotel and the staff were nice and we had a good stay. "

"Fantastic receptionist on arrival, good parking, good pool. Room tiny, bathroom ridiculously small; you couldn't shut the door without squeezing between the toilet and basin. I've never seen anything like it. If you were overweight you wouldn't be able to use the bathroom! Room cleanliness could have been better. Room was tired in general. Breakfast very good. Evening meal was ok, lots of food and drink not available which was disappointing. Evening restaurant staff mixed - ladies serving were very hard working and friendly - older barman didn't seem very happy. Overall ok stay but I couldn't stay in that tiny room again and for £145 for one night room only was overpriced"

"The staff was amazing. When we got there and our room wasn’t set up as a twin for my adult daughter and I they swiftly offered us both our own rooms using an unbooked room - we don’t even have to ask. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Thanks!"

"I had a great breakfast on my first morning, but for my second/last night, they forgot to be around to prepare my breakfast... Nevertheless, helpful and friendly staff. A very convenient stay in the old, centre of Bury, much enjoyed."
