"Four of us stayed three nights for a nearby family gathering. This is a lovely apartment. It's in a typical Chicago apartment built 100 years ago with high ceilings, lovely moldings around the doors and on the walls. It was recently renovated and looks very up to date without losing its original charm. The kitchen is equipped with everything we could have needed plus a lot more. There are three bedrooms, each with its own closet (the middle bedroom's closet even has a built in light, a nice touch). The front bedroom faces the street, has a bay window, must be 25' deep and almost as wide. We all liked it so much we hung out there more than in the living room. The other two bedrooms have plenty of room. The beds are comfortable. The apartment is on an attractive residential street, several doors down from a busy commercial avenue with lots of restaurants and shops, but there was no street noise to bother us. Being a first floor apartment, we were aware of foot steps from the residents upstairs, but it was not a problem."
"What a wonderful hotel! My family and I had a perfect stay at the Sophy. We found our room ample in size and very well-appointed. Staff were helpful. The neighborhood was charming and very safe. We’ll definitely stay here on our next trip to Chicago!"
Luxury Stay on UChicago Campus 11 min walk to hospitals
10/10 Excellent
"We had such a wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated home while visiting our son, a proud freshman playing for the Maroons. The place was spotless, bright, and incredibly comfortable, making it easy for us to relax after busy days on campus. Its convenient location just minutes from UChicago meant we could easily come and go, which was a huge plus. Every little detail made our visit stress-free and enjoyable, and we’re already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Chicago."
