"We stayed in a very large room in a cottage at the rear of hotel it was very comfortable The room was decorated in an olde world style it was very clean The bathroom was large and very modern . There was a car park at the rear of the hotel The village was lovely very quiet with some nice walks .We were hoping to use the bus service but it did not go into oxford so we used a park and ride service and visited oxford that way.The staff at the hotel were really nice pleasant and helpful"

"My third stay here whilst on business in the area. My wife and I had also eaten here a couple of weeks back whilst in the area, as we always do. Archie was very friendly and helpful at check in, as was his colleague behind the bar ( sorry ! I didn’t catch her name). I was in the Belle Suite this time, the room was lovely with all the amenities you’d expect - including a fridge, coffee machine and spacious, clean bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and once people and cars turning up or leaving the pub / restaurant had quietened down, a lovely quiet night. I’ll be staying again in a few weeks, this place never disappoints. Sitting by the river in the sunshine with a drink after my 4 hour drive was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you for another lovely stay. Dave RS"
