Bordoy Grand House Algarve

Bordoy Grand House Algarve

10/10 Excellent
"I absolutely loved the hotel. It had historic charm and the hotel obviously took pride in cleanliness and its historical value. I had breakfast one day, and it was a nice spread. The bar service was excellent, if you could actually find someone who works there. These was a bell on the counter I rang 3 times one day before I just gave up. I was disappointed to find that the actual pool area is offsite, and the hotel does not offer shuttle service as it states in the add. I’m had to pay a taxi for round trip. The beach club/pool was not worth my time. It was not clean like the hotel, the food was just mediocre at best, and the service was no-existent. Overall the Hotel itself was lovely and I highly recommend it. It’s in a great location and the employees were very friendly."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Tenência?
The best area to stay in Tenência is the main town centre, particularly around the Avenida da República and the marina area.

This central district is the heart of Tenência, offering easy access to most amenities and attractions. Avenida da República is the main thoroughfare, lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes, leading directly to the marina. The marina itself is a focal point, with boat trips available and a pleasant promenade for strolls.

For couples, staying near the marina offers a delightful experience. You'll find a good selection of quality restaurants with water views, superb for evening meals. The proximity to boat tours and the relaxed pace of the waterfront make it ideal for a romantic getaway.

Families will also appreciate the convenience of the town centre. Many hotels here offer family-friendly amenities, and you're just a short walk from various eateries suitable for all ages.
When is the best time to go to Tenência?
The best time to visit Tenência is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20-25°C, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty and outdoor activities the region offers. You'll find the walking trails through the hills and along the coastline particularly enjoyable without the intense heat of summer.

For those looking for a quieter holiday experience, these periods offer a more relaxed pace. You can enjoy the local restaurants and attractions without the peak season hustle, and accommodation prices can be more favourable than in July and August.
