"We stayed here during our honeymoon for 3 nights in a beach front bungalow. Can’t recommend this place enough. This was our 2nd favorite lodging during our trip where we stayed at 7 different lodgings (only behind one of the 5 star resorts on bora bora). If we visited again we would choose Sofitel again over the other resorts on Moorea offering OWBs. The staff was incredibly friendly our entire time there, and all food options come highly recommended. Do not be cheap and avoid the resort breakfast - it is well worth it. The room was very clean & we had easy access to the nearby lagoon where we had some of the best casual snorkeling of our trip. One of our highlights at Sofitel was the beach front romance dinner through restaurant K - we were picked up from our bungalow at our reservation time & dropped back off after. We also had an amazing spa session while there. The only downside for the short term is part of the property was beginning renovations when we were leaving (including the spa moving to a smaller location on site with potentially more limited offerings) in late October. Overall we would 100% stay at Sofitel in the future again. "

"Charming bungalow with fun and funky bathroom. Just steps from the beach. I wish there had been some shady seating closer to the beach like other nearby properties but this is minor. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate breakfast on the porch each morning. Beautiful location!"

"Michel and Elisabeth were awesome hosts. My wife was ill upon arrival and they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. When she was well enough to get out and about, Michel kept in touch with me via WhatsApp to check on her!I picked up a small blender locally and Michel provided me with various fruits for some great smoothies.The bungalow was cozy and what I expected for the price paid. As another guest noted, internet is spotty but we have an international plan with Verizon, so I was able to hotspot without any issue since cell coverage was great. Beach access is literally just out of the back yard. I spent many hours chilling there! All in all, if someone is into resorts, this is NOT your place. But if you're looking for privacy, awesome hosts and simple accommodations, Michel and Elisabeth's place is great. Oh, and Mindji the dog and her 2 buddies are great dogs for company when chilling on the beach!"

"We had an absolutely delightful stay. We were greeted so warmly and were given great recommendations on seeing whales and the best baguettes to buy. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, and right on the lagoon's door where we saw beautiful fish snorkelling. Our only regret is not staying longer! Recommendations: bring reef/water shoes along with snorkelling gear. It is easiest to find the bungalow during the day. "

"The three of us stayed at the Cottage Papaya Moorea for two nights. The place was comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped. My only suggestion would be having some softer pillows available. I found the pillows to be very firm and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the hosts were very friendly and helpful and our stay was pleasant."
